After a day on the water, letting your worries float away, enjoy a glass of wine on the deck around the fire pit or pick up a paddle and play a few rounds of ping pong before nestling into the ultra-cozy leather couch by the fireplace in the living room to stream a new movie or binge your latest TV show obsession. This home promises a sanctuary from life's tensions and will anchor you in tranquility!

About the Home
• Kitchen with island seating for 3, dining for 8, dishwasher, and standard drip-style coffee maker
• Living room with SmartTV for streaming, gas log fireplace, and access to the deck with solo stove and seating overlooking the lake
• Upper-level loft, open to the living room, with a sitting area, game table, and balcony with seating
• Lower-level game room with second living area, RokuTV, ping-pong, and access to the lower-level deck with picnic and lounge seating and ring-toss-hook game
• The walk to the dock requires navigating long and occasionally uneven steps. The experience of the lake is well worth it! Lounge and relax on the upper dock or walk down to the lower dock to swim. The homeowner stores their boat and various water toys at the dock; these are unavailable for guest use for liability reasons. Boats cannot be launched from the property, so guests should plan to use one of the nearby public boat ramps on Lake James

Excellent location, plenty of space for multiple familys

Wonderful location to enjoy beautiful Lake James. We were able to use our pontoon boat on the dock. The house had plenty of space and a well stocked kitchen for our family vacation.

Comments meant to be constructive and helpful:Kitchen cabinets dirty and greasy- I did what I couldKitchen rug is a soil trap and can’t really be kept cleanBack deck would benefit from awning, it gets so hot and glare-y back thereFitted sheets on all beds so that sheets are not getting all undone on bottomThe spaces served us very well altho sharing en suite master bath was a bit difficultThank you very much. Nice house and location. Unfortunately, we weren’t aware of the need to have beach type towels. Probably our fault, it might have been in the paperwork and we just missed it. We ended up going to nearby stores to buy one for everyone to take out to the lake. There were minor issues (bulbs out, loose toilet, etc) that the property managers were very quick to respond to and work on. Overall a good experience and would rent again!

Excellent Family Reunion Adventure!

We travelled from Chicago and Florida for a slice of mountain air and views! Harborside Haven did not disappoint. We had 13 family members aged 6-87 and a wonderful time was had by all. The house was wonderful with multi-level spaces allowing people to spread out if they desired. Loved the sleeping arrangements and the no shortage of bathrooms! Of course, the property with the lake access meant we were not in the home a lot! The dock was used plenty for swimming, boating and fishing and my 87-year-old mother made the trip to the dock to enjoy the family several times! If you are looking for a spot for the whole family (dogs even joined us), I would highly recommend this location not only for the accommodations, lake and views but the proximity to many other locations for hiking and exploring. We are already talking about returning next year!
