Thon Hotels - accommodation in Nes

We were looking forward to our visit, but were left somewhat disappointed. The hotel is very tired and in need of renovating. The room didn’t have the facilities advertised with no coffee tea making facilities or kettle. (With an expectation you buy a coffee for 55NOK!) Decoration was very worn and poorly done. Door handles for the terrace coming away from door. Bathroom was actually a very very small wet room. So everything in the room got wet when you showered. Beds were old and had gone soft so not that comfortable. No bedding provided for the sofa bed. The staff were doing their best. They were always polite and responsive. The food in the restaurant was good but didn’t match the menu? Breakfast was good but choice was a little limited. Only one Tesla charger available so unable to charge my car as another person in a Tesla was plugged in for entirety of our stay. Overall a disappointing visit not what we were expecting for a junior suite! The photos used on the website are misleading and do the best job I have seen in making the place look modern and fresh. It isn’t. Not the standard you expect of BW and of a 4 star hotel. (At best 2 stars)
