I checked in, went to room. Said to my wife we aren’t staying here and we just left. I know it said three stars so we were not expecting luxury but this place is a dump

Hotel very convenient for railway station. Looks a bit jaded on the outside but the hotel is good, clean and efficient and the staff were very helpful to provide me with breakfast after I overslept !

3 nights near the station

Very convenient to railway station (100m) and a 5 minute walk to the centre of town. Restaurants & cafes very close, mixed types and quality, with plenty more in the central area of town. Room wasn't huge, but clean and comfortable with reliable wifi. Limited toiletries supplied, no iron in room and no in-room safe if these are important to you. Windows open for fresh air if preferred to a/c. Didn't try in-house breakfast, but went to patisserie 100m up the road for a 6 euro meal of coffee, juice, pastry and bread with butter and jam. Go to the tourist information centre for a map & self guided walks. Don't miss the cathedral for its modern stained glass throughout, interesting markets on Saturdays.
