A memorable 2 Night Stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My wife and I stayed at Balloon Cave Hotel for two nights and were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Every member of the team was welcoming and attentive, with special thanks to Ibrahim & Hussein at reception for his kindness and helpful nature. The terrace offers breathtaking views over Göreme, especially at sunrise when dozens of hot air balloons float gracefully across the sky — truly unforgettable. The hotel’s location is ideal, just a short walk to Göreme City Centre, making it easy to explore shops, restaurants, and local attractions. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well‑appointed, with excellent amenities and room service available. Mornings began with a hearty breakfast featuring fresh, delicious options. The hotel also has a swimming pool (we didn’t use it, but it looked inviting) and offers booking services for local attractions. A thoughtful touch was their wake‑up call service, perfect for catching the magical early‑morning balloon flights from the terrace. Overall, Balloon Cave Hotel combines comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality — a place we would gladly return to and highly recommend to anyone visiting Cappadocia.

clean and attractive hotel at a reasonable price

We were completely satisfied by our stay at this hotel. It's only 2 floors with maybe 5 rooms on each floor, and the 3rd floor is where the dining room (for breakfast only, included with stay, and very good) as well as the seasonal pool and roof-top patio are located. You can watch the balloons take off from there in the morning. It's a lovely view. The main Goreme commercial (tourist) zone is a few blocks away - a very easy walk with lots of restaurant and souvenir (and ice cream) options. It's a clean and attractive hotel at a reasonable price.

Exceeded expectations

We loved this family-run hotel and felt so welcomed and at home. Nothing was too much trouble, from organising tours and an airport transfer, to organising a cork screw for our wine, everything was done with a smile and good cheer. The location was perfect and the hotel was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We would recommend Balloon Cave Hotel and hope to visit again!

Really enjoyed our 2 nights at this hotel. First, rooms are nice and comfortable, the rooftop patio is perfect for watching the balloons, there is a dome up higher with a heater to sit and enjoy. The breakfast was delicious, they had a variety of eggs, pastries, meats, cheeses, fries, dips, cookies cakes etc... Parking is very easy just out front the hotel, walkable to anything and everything but in a quiet street. Hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful with anything you wish to do. The only issues we had, there was a slight smell in the bathroom which is extremely common..... and this is NOT a cave room or in a cave... this is a hotel with concrete rooms kinda maybe sorta wanting to be a cave.

The hotel staff were fantastic during our stay. Breakfast was great and the terrace is a great place to watch balloons. It was raining the night we left and the staff drove us to the bus station. Would book again!

I decided to book this hotel based on reviews I read. I also like to support family owned business. Staff is friendly. The room was clean. I made a request to the hotel to make arrangements for shuttle transportation to and from the airport for 10 euros per trip and per person. A simple breakfast was included in our package. You can see hot air balloons from the rooftop of the hotel. The hotel sold us the green and red tours for 55 euros per tour per person, and it includes lunch and transportation. However, you should check prices at shops downtown before booking with the hotel. The tour guide takes you to tourist attractions and local shops. The green tour included Kem Art Center and it is a tourist trap. The jewelry is overpriced. You can find the same jewelry at another shop in the town at a much cheaper price. I was charged 50 euros for a silver pendant necklace that cost 18 euros at a jewelry shop in the town. Don't purchase anything at places that tour guide takes you. I'm assuming the tour guide and hotel earn a commission, so prices are more expensive. You can find the same products at local stores at much cheaper prices in Gerome. I didn't appreciate the hotel participating in the sale of tours to shops that have overpriced products. A hotel should take care of it's customers and not send them to get ripped off by shops included in tours. The shops in Gerome have the same things for sale at much cheaper prices. Room was located next to road so it was noisy.

Goreme is obviously a competitive market accommodation wise but the Balloon Cave Hotel deserves serious consideration and is highly recommended. From booking onwards communication with management was flawless and they could not have been more attentive. This included arranging a balloon ride at short notice. The hotel is in a convenient location a block off the main street so it is a short walk to the town centre. The terrace also provides a perfect vantage point for watching the balloons take off at 0600. Breakfast was plentiful, and should sustain you to dinner. Although you are technically in a cave the Wifi was reliable and from a room perspective the bed was comfortable and shower water pressure ideal. To cap off an enjoyable stay the management offered to drive us to the bus station. Would definitely staff there again if back in Cappadocia.
