Extremely Disappointed – Serious Dietary Negligence and Broken Promise I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Kelebek Special Cave Hotel & Spa. When ordering breakfast, I specifically requested that no beef be included in my omelette for religious reasons. I made this request very clear to the staff, and when my breakfast was served, I confirmed again that there was no beef in it. To my horror, I discovered meat (beef) inside the omelette. This was completely unacceptable and showed a serious lack of care and respect for guests’ religious and dietary requirements. I immediately complained to the manager, who apologized and took full responsibility for the mistake. As a gesture of goodwill, I was told that the 50% cost of one night’s stay would be refunded and that I should contact Expedia to arrange this. However, despite following their instructions, the refund has now been refused by the hotel. This experience has left me deeply disappointed. Not only was my religious dietary request ignored, but the hotel also failed to honour their own promise of compensation. I would not recommend Kelebek Special Cave Hotel & Spa to anyone who expects professionalism, honesty, or respect for religious beliefs and dietary needs.

Excellent unique boutique cave hotel with excellent views of the balloons. Staff was kind annd helpful and the resident cats are friendly. Food is delicious. Hammam massage is a very unique experience. Highly recommend menemin for breakfast and the lamb rack special for dinner.

My room was beautiful and clean, I was very happy with the hotel. Walking distance into town, Staff was very helpful and kind, the spa service I had was amazing (Turkish bath and massage) Watching the balloons in the morning from the deck was perfect and not crowded at all. A lot of delicious breakfast options. Very happy with my stay I would highly recommend.

Our stay in Cappadocia was unforgettable, and the Kelebek Hotel made all the difference. Perched on top of the hills, it offers stunning panoramic views from its terraces, restaurants, and staircases. The restaurant and spa are both excellent—I ended up having all my meals there and enjoyed relaxing Turkish bath and massage sessions each evening. The hotel also took care of all my activities. I hadn’t done much research before arriving in Göreme, but the staff made thoughtful recommendations and organized everything seamlessly. Their hospitality made the trip entirely stress-free.

The hotel was good, but it lacks a lot of customer service. Most importantly it lacks personnel that can speak English in the restaurant area and it is very poor attended. I love the room view , the hotel needs more personnel that are friendly to tourist that don't speak Turkish. I have travelled all over the world and it is important to communicate what your needs. I was not satisfied at all with the restaurant service. The spa was very nice and the girls were very attentive. Overall I gave the experience a 4 because I felt for what I paid it was not worth it. The videos promoting shows a way different stay.

Excellent Hotel

We loved this hotel. It was right in the heart of Goreme. The room was very spacious with a fireplace. The Turkish breakfast was very delicious. We were there at the end of September so the pool was cold, but you can visit a sister hotel down the street with indoor and outdoor heated pools which was very nice. I only saw a few parking spaces in front of the hotel. Taxi service is not that expensive. I paid for most things by credit card and US dollars. I didn't use my Turkish Lira because I didn't get enough out of the bank. I thought the bank gave me a $100 but it was $3 in lira ):

The location is great, the hotel is attached to other cave hotels and we can go from one restaurant to another. It’s also walking distance to town. I wanted to have an experience of staying in a cave whilst in Cappadocia and this did not disappoint. The surprise we had was that the balloons actually passed by my hotel room! I woke up and saw large balloons right outside my window and had to go and wave at them. They also had a spa and I availed of their services. It was a good experience and I would highly recommend this place.

I’ve stayed at Kelebek 3 times and it’s my favorite! I love that when you stay here you also get access to the pools (indoor, outdoor heated, etc.) at their several other sister properties which are a 5 minute walk. I also love the rooftop spaces for tea, wine, and snacks! The hospitality is wonderful. We had staff come to our room to start a chimney fire on one of the chilly evenings! Blankets are also available for chilly nights on the rooftops! Also, the kitties, obviously. Short walk (although huffing and puffing a little lol) to the city center. Also love to hear the early morning call to prayer!
