Cozy 2-bedroom cabin within National Park with stunning lake view!

Take in the lake view from the historic high ground within Ft. Heiman National Battlefield. This is the only in-dwelling within the park, bordered by public land on all sides. See Civil War earthworks on the property! Enjoy the surrounding 300 acres of public lands with a walk to the lakefront and National Park trails. Perfect for history buffs and nature lovers.

If true solitude is what you are after this is the place for you! There are very few true in-dwellings left within National Parks and this is your chance to enjoy one. From the cabin you will be able to enjoy a commanding viewpoint that is what drew military strategists to place the fort there in the first place.

In the front yard are the breastworks built during the civil war and behind the cabin are more remnants of breastworks that were destroyed by the Union before they left in 1864. It was from this spot that the most destructive raid of the Civil War was launched after Confederate forces re-occupied the fort after the Union abandoned it.

Very clean and private cabin. Great view of the lake. We spent the day relaxing while the kids fished.Communication with the host was great. He replied to all of our questions quickly. We are already planning our trip for next year.Highly recommend!!

Open concept cozy cabin with modern and chic amenities (aarke coffee system, front load washer & dryer, huge tv). Very remote, private location with frontage and view of Kentucky lake. Host is very responsive and lives nearby if needed but does not intrude. Highly recommend.

Very secluded! No neighbors, quiet and nice views of lake. Modern, comfortable, quiet and well equipped. Luxury accommodations meet antique artifacts and decor. Lots of private spaces, woods and trails. Well taken care of, responsive host and well-appointed kitchen, hangout rooms, with modern appliances. I'll stay here again!
