Good spot for parades, but the elevator situation is not great. The people lined up in the lobby for the stand tickets on Saturday would not let anybody through and were rude.

I’ve stayed at his hotel often and usually the staff is very nice and helpful but there is one women there(night shift) who is super rude and unfriendly. Rude for no reason when asking a question. Hotel needs a major upgrade. The bathrooms are not the greatest. I had no hot water, had to always go down to get towels, as the housekeeper would only leave one. The outlet covers were falling off. Microwave was all wonky and unstable. The bedside lamp didn’t work. The bed was comfortable and the front desk staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful (the graveyard lady was the best) The windows need all the film cleared up as you can’t see out them clearly. One of our room (2 queen beds) was barely larger than a closet with no outside light at all. I’ve stayed here twice but will most likely find another place that is more updated. The Blake is conveniently located to everything though. The price you pay is not worth what they charge as it reminds me of a highway budget motel.

Should have received a reimbursement for one night & only received 30% off😡 Checked-in on Thursday evening & the tv didn't work, the microwave couldn't be plugged in at the same time as the refrigerator, the outlet in the restroom didn't work & this was night 1! Maintenance came in a was able to fix all but the outlet. Woke up Friday & the toilet almost overflowed, went to brush my teeth & the sink clogged so maintenance came out at 8:00 am and don't leave until 10:22 a.m. O then went to take a shower mad the floor aaa wet, low & behold the toilet was now leaking😡 Maintenance came in & was able to fix the leak and the outlet at 10:00 pm & we just got back up the room for bed and we just made the 24 hour mark! by luckily I was able to turn the water valve off,

The room was in good condition and the staff was courteous, however, our last night (Feb 2nd) my friends, my husband and I were stuck in the lobby of the hotel due to a power outage in the building which affected use of the elevators. We sat there in the cold with blankets while the electric company checked and said there was no issue from the electric company providing power to the building but there was an issue with the circuitry within the building. We were finally told the electrician to the building would have to fix the issue. We climbed 7 flights of stairs to get to our room (701). This was inconvenient and painful as I have a leg injury. This put a damper on the last day of our trip. This is an older hotel however it is well kept. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the electricity during our stay. This may be partly due to the weather. The power was restored.
