Waited one hour past 4:00 check/-in to get in our room….it smelled musky…. a part of AC was hanging out on floor. Could hardly see things as only 2 tiny lamps by bed and another tiny desk lamp. Dark. Guy brought a tall floor lamp but it was dirty looking and I told him we don’t want one. Told mgr and her words were “if we get a lot of complaints we fix it”. I asked if she knew how unprofessional and really stupid that comment was. Crickets. We went out to eat and put the “do not disturb” sign on the door handle. Returned to find another lamp in the room. Visited front desk and expressed my unhappiness of someone going in our room while we were out. Desk clerk said “oh I told him y’all went out…I saw y’all leaving”. I told her nobody should go in a room when this sign is on the door….holding up the door sign. She walked away. Not happy at all. I do expect a monetary compensation. Hotel says it’s Expedia’s job. Is it???? We came here for a very important doctor appointment tomorrow. We thought staying overnight would be better than getting up early to drive here (from MS). Not a bad decision, but a bad choice of hotels.
