The hotel manager was just amazing, along with the car port workers, I sprained my knee, an it was very hard to even get out of the bed, the staff brought me ice bags, a bandage to wrap my knee and helped me to and from the room, I couldn’t ask for a better staff!

This is a clean, basic hotel. A bit dated, but comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location worked ok for us. We did 2 days of the hop on/hop off bus and there is a stop only a half block from the hotel - so easy to get to and from. Walking distance to some nice restaurants and WWII Museum. Breakfast was typical - eggs, meat, potatoes, waffles, bagels, yogurt etc. Not exceptional, but a money saver. Overall a good value for what we paid.

The room stayed at about 78 degrees even after reporting it to the front desk. Additionally, there was an issue in the bar area that caused a lot of smoke throughout the lobby. The hotel staff indicated everything was fine but then the situation worsened after a few hours and the fire department was called in. Did not feel like safety was truly the priority or the FD would have been called in to review the cause of smoke and smell of melting plastic/wiring earlier, especially in a very old building.

Staff was nice! Zero complaints there! And I’m usually a proponent of only giving positive reviews because I know the power that they have. I paid for a suite, got a suite. The windows were so high you couldn’t even see out of them, I feel like that’s kind of the same thing as a hotel that has a “partially obstructed view” for cheaper, not on the suites. At least notate that in the listing. The room was okay, but not as clean as I’d like. The bed didn’t have a fitted sheet just a flat sheet over the bed and not folded properly. It revealed the mattress just laying down. By the time I tried to fall asleep, the fire alarm went off and we had to lug our belongings into the lobby. The fire department came. Again, not something that was anyone’s particular fault. The furnace in the bar area filled the hotel with an electrical fire smell. The fire department cleared us to go back to our room. The smell and smoke gave me a headache all night. Easy transportation and car storage for a reasonable fee for the duration of a cruise.

Well my overall stay was good but we didn't know the hotel cleaned the rooms evey other day..which sucked! Then the Valet wait to get our car was an hour..I liked the rooms and breakfast but those 2 things were not told to me before my stay which made the stay uncomfortable..valet needs to invest in a golfcart if cars are 6blocks away!
