Great staff, poor conditions

I picked this La Quinta for my family because it was close to the airport and offered a continental breakfast. The front desk staff at check-in and check-out were warm and friendly, which we really appreciated. The building and room were pretty run down, but since we were only staying one night to sleep and shower, we figured it would do. The TV remote didn’t work at first, but the front desk quickly sent someone up with a replacement. Unfortunately, the bathroom wasn’t clean. When I turned on the shower, I saw several small bugs crawl out from behind the hot water knob - about eight of them. After that, I didn’t feel comfortable using the shower, so I ended up washing myself and my child in the sink. Each time I went back into the bathroom, there were a couple more bugs in different spots. We stayed on a Tuesday night, and were surprised by how loud it was. There was shouting in the hall and what sounded like parties happening in different rooms late into the night. We skipped the breakfast because, based on what we saw in our room and the bathroom, we didn’t feel confident about the cleanliness in the kitchen. We did stop by to see if there were any sealed options and were glad to find things like yogurt. My child had some Cheerios with milk but said the milk tasted weird, so we tossed it just in case. Even though the staff was wonderful, we wouldn’t stay here again due to the condition of the room, the cleanliness issues, and the overall environment.

First the staff is great. Friendly, professional and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Exceptional value for the price. 1st time flying out of Louis Armstrong and the hotel was in a very convenient location. Breakfast was decent and a little late. Would give 4.5 stars if allowed.

Horrible. First they didnt have the suites that we booked so we had to settle for regular rooms. Then both of the rooms air conditioners werent working so we had to switch rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful and did everything they could. The hotel just isnt what we expected at all. The breakfast is a joke. The only cereal was unflavored and there was no sausage or scrambled eggs. The waffle maker didn't cook the waffles completely. The hard boiled eggs were with the shell in. The apple juice was watered down tasting.

This was the worest hotel I have stayed at in a super long time. It may as well have been a outside motel. Then had the audacity to have paid parking. I was arriving later than expected so I contacted the hotel and was met with problems and no solutions; then another person get on the line and assted me. When I arrived the front desk had a fan blowing like the ac was out. The elevator looked like it was on its last legs, the panel inside was loose and it shook. When i got off the elevator the hall had an order
