I paid $1800 for two rooms for two nights and it was definitely not worth it! The hotel was not upscale or impressive in any way. I was charged $42 per night for valet parking. The AC wouldn’t get cold enough and was blowing brown gunk all over my head and bed. The hotel was undergoing renovations including smelly paint and wallpaper and all the baseboards were off. I was supposed to get $130 tour credits but when I asked about it, was told it was not available. And they only do room service every couple days so we had to go to the front desk to get our towels for the second day. NOT WORTH THE $$ PAID!!

I night prior to cruise

Good location; lobby space good for family gathering. Continental breakfast good. General areas clean,didn’t know 3rd floor under construction. Bare baseboards, w ore carpet etc. family on 2nd floor had renovations complete. Front staff in evening friendly and helpful. Close to cruise terminal, $6-8 per person for cab. Excellent restaurants within walking distance, whole family enjoyed lunch at Butcher!

I was laying in bed and there was a cockroach on the ceiling above me. I called the front desk and all they could do is give me a new room 4 doors down. I asked to switch Marriott hotels and the front desk woman was so rude to me she said I could just leave but I would not get a refund. They were also doing construction on our floor, ripping up carpet , removing base boards and taking off wallpaper. The front desk woman was so rude, I have never been spoken to like the way she did. She told me to just leave. I would never stay at this hotel again, and everyone should be warned about how bad this hotel was. I stayed 4 days and they only cleaned our room once. We had garbage and dirty towels, it was awful. Not the standard I expected from a Marriott hotel. Don’t stay here.

Did not get the 2 queen bed room that I booked for, instead a 1 king bed for family of 4. Thats what I got after 12 hours of drive. Terrible staff, they didn’t even apologise.

I think the rating I saw when booking this stay was grossly incorrect. This hotel is under renovation, breakfast was hardly adequate to feed all guests. Floor in bathroom has streaks of blood left near wall.

Hidden Gem

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is located a 15 minute walk from the heart of the French Quarter, there are 20+ local restaurants and bars within a 10-15 minute walk or just around the corner. A list of local restaurants is available at the desk during check in. About a 10 minute walk from the Street Car that runs up and down St Charles street. All the employees were very helpful and gave great suggestions on where to eat and shop.
