Cozy and relaxing!
This cottage was super cute and well stocked with all the essentials! The views of the lake were amazing- we loved relaxing in the hot tub and star gazing at night! We stayed in November so we’re unable to enjoy the lake toys otherwise. We did enjoy the fireplace inside the house. The host Emily was very responsive and helpful throughout the stay. We would definitely stay again!
Wonderful location! We had a great time. The kids absolutely loved the bunk beds and the toys. It was November so it's chilly but they loved the shore line and Potawatomi State Park. *Any birders out there reading this: We saw Tundra Swans3 Incredible birds! Again, it was cold, windy and snowing so we did not think of seeing any birds but what an incredible sighting!

Week in Door County!
We stayed for a week here August 18th-22nd. We had a great week. The cabin had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our time. It is close enough to everything, but also a perfect distance to enjoy the privacy.
The hot tub was a plus and we ended every night hanging out in the hot tub discussing our adventure of the day.
Great accommodations, great location. So clean, and had everything we needed!

Wonderful Cottage for Family Vacation
I highly recommend the Adventure Cottage for your Door County stay! It is tucked into a beautiful and quiet part of the Bay and has everything you would need for a family visiting the area. We so appreciated having coffee readily available for us and all of the accommodations for our young children including books, toys, booster seat, etc. We used the hot tub and that was a highlight for my kids! Beds were comfortable and the updated appliances and furnishings were lovely. Overall excellent stay!!!
Lovely property and beautifully decorated! The views were amazing and the outdoor amenities were perfect. We loved sitting outside by the firepit, kayaking around the bay and taking walks in the neighborhood. The house was immaculate with a nice open concept gathering area. The bedrooms are small with very little storage but our family of five managed. Wonderful place in a quiet location.
Excellent location outside downtown Sturgeon Bay! Relaxing retreat on the bayside. Close proximity to Potawatomi State Park. We enjoyed our evenings in the hot tub on the deck watching the sunset over the bay. Excellent communication with the property manager upon arrival. We also enjoyed walks around the neighborhood with our dog and baby each day. Husband kayaked as well with the equipment from the adventure garage - lots of other equipment available too. Highly recommend!
All was fine at the house. A little smaller than expected with litte room for clothes in king bedroom. The garage didnt work to pull car into. Cold weather and snow made it hard to get to town which is 15 min away. We left early as we were nervous about roads out by the house.
The. VIEW!!!!! Not only is the home warm, comfortable, private, but also the most gorgeous view of the water you’ll ever see. The host couldn’t have been kinder, and we felt very lucky they shared their home with us. We walked our 35 lb Blue Heeler on a leash around the perimeter of the property which maybe was a mile? I don’t know because I wasn’t on my phone tracking anything this weekend. We didn’t use the hot tub (sad lol) but I’m sure we will when (not if) we return. The property and the home were immaculately clean. If you’re looking for a serene getaway, book it. Thanks so much!!!
This cottage is really nicely remodeled and has a nice open concept. The bedrooms are a bit tight and the primary especially could use more outlet access for plugging in/charging, but we improvised. The coffee bar is really cute and well stocked. I had to do some work while there, and the small desk/office area was nice to have. The setting is really pretty and even though there were people staying in the cabin to the right of us, the way the buildings are sited gives plenty of privacy. We enjoyed having a fire in the firepit each night and using the hot tub. We had a couple minor blips upon arrival, but the property manager is super responsive and got things resolved quickly/to our satisfaction. The location is close enough to easily get to downtown Sturgeon Bay or other DC locations pretty quickly, but just far enough away to avoid crowds and have some privacy. Even though we were only there for two nights, we had a nice relaxing time and would definitely stay here again.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Overall, wonderful stay. The home is fully renovated and feels very clean. The home is very small especially the bedrooms. We had trouble putting the pack n play and a suitcase in the Queen bed room. The coffee bar was great and the kitchen was nicely stocked with kitchen gear and basic spices. The living space was very comfortable with beautiful views! We loved the fireplace and the hot tub!!! Made for such a relaxing weekend. We also enjoyed the playground with our kids (though the rock wall appears to be installed upside down so it was difficult to climb). We also loved that there were toys at the house and our kids really enjoyed them!! There were a few minor hiccups like there was only one trash bag in the entire house. Also we had to hunt for the bath towels but eventually found them in double bagged in the back of a closet. Overall, we had a great stay. However after checking out, we felt that the host was a bit accusatory about a spot found on the couch. We honestly couldn’t remember spilling anything but there were 4 adults and 2 kids - it’s possible there was a small spill. However it was a dark microfiber couch which stains easily so it could have been something as simple as a splash of water. We told the host we couldn’t remember any spills but their response left us feeling unsettled. We’ve been renting through VRBO for 14 years and have rented many homes and have never had such an uneasy encounter with a host.
