Disappointed at the Hard Rock Hotel
I have stayed at most of the Hard Rock Hotels around the world and almost always have a great experience. Went for a milestone birthday celebration for my wife this weekend and called and emailed in advance to notify the hotel of this and ask for something special to help commemorate this important milestone. First gave us a less than room (low floor and immediately adjacent to elevator), which we ended up changing. Also asked front desk staff and Concierge multiple times to do something special for my wife, which fell on deaf ears. Then asked to speak to the hotel manager twice, second time I spoke with Frank (manager) who sounded extremely bothered to have to talk to me. He offered me a late check out….as we were checking out. Also sent up 3 frozen super tiny mini cupcakes the size of a half dollar as we were leaving- day after her birthday. Hotel has a great location, clean, but lacking in the fun memorabilia the Hard Rock is typically known for. If you need a hotel near Times Square, this is a viable option. If you’re planning on something special, this is not be the place for you, the physical hotel is nice but the customer service is missing, and management doesn’t care. Would have not picked the Hard Rock again for our celebration. And just for good measure, the wait time to get my car from the valet was 2.5 hours….. yes, you heard that correctly, 2.5 hours. We took matters into our own hands and went over to the parking garage ourselves and had our car in 5 minutes.

BE AWARE!! You don’t get the room you pay!
Guest of hotels.com BE AWARE this hotel doesn’t honor the pictures shown in the category of the room in this platform. I booked a suite with a siting area and tub we got to our room to find no siting area, called the front desk just to be told they don’t have any suites that have siting area and tub, I had to choose between these two amenities but based on availability they could do anything for me. They even went online to check the pictures posted on this platform after I told them what I booked. I ended up getting a regular room and paid for a suite I didn’t get. We used valet parking, it took 2 hours to bring my car back to the hotel, at the end a nice front desk attendant was gracious enough to refund me for the terrible service. Overall terrible experience, not coming here again.

I would give it an excellent, 5 star, BUT….!!! I reserved this with a debit card that I had on file for Expedia - reserve now, pay later. When we arrived. I paid the balance with a different debit card, & gave a credit card for incidentals that was $400 for the entire stay) I specifically stated to the check in person ‘This credit card is for the incidentals.’ So they had access to 3 different cards of mine. Do you know that they charged $400 in incidentals on all 3 cards = $1200!!! Yeah, that was my fault - maybe. Never again.

Totally enjoyable
We had a great 4 night stay, very central location for Broadway, Times Square, Fifth Ave. Very quiet between rooms, no noise at all. We had a suite and it was incredibly comfortable. just a little bit of street noise, but then it"s Times Sq. Very quick check in/out. great staff. Highly recommend
