Rooms were in bad condition, carpets were dirty and need replacing, furniture is very worn. Our particularly room was close to the two (slow) elevators that we could hear squeaking throughout the night. Appears like it was decent at one point but has let itself go. Area is very convenient but there are many hotels nearby that I wished we would have booked instead.

Some staffs are not approachable, rude and mean. Rooms need to keep up with their maintenance. There is a subway line underneath the hotel. Our room rattled and shook every few minutes through the night. The staff acknowledged the problem but they were not able to find a better room, so we checked out after the first night to find a better hotel.

Overall, my stay at the hotel was pretty good, but I’m lowering my rating for staff & service because I had a terrible experience with the valet service. They advertise valet as a 24-hour daily rate during your stay, making it sound like you can take your car in and out as often as you want. The valet check-in guy on Friday (weekday) was pleasant, and when you drop off your car, they text you a link to request it, with an estimated wait time of about 30–40 minutes. The problem started Saturday morning when I needed my car. I must have accidentally deleted the text with the link. I called the front desk to explain, and they told me to come to the lobby because “they couldn’t locate my car.” Naturally, I was frustrated—how do you misplace a car? They then sent me to the parking garage to talk to a valet attendant. This valet told me that without the link, there was no other way to get my car. He asked for my tag number—which was on that text and also on my keys, which they had! Apparently, there’s no backup process if you lose the text message. I take responsibility for possibly deleting the text, but there should absolutely be a contingency plan in place. It took almost 1.5hours before I finally received notification that my car was ready. I had to uber to my destination, leaving my car. The new valet guy was awfully rude and mumbling stuff to me, he said my car was sitting there all day and refused to listen, walked away. For a hotel of this caliber, that’s unacceptable.

While I was there, the elevator was broken so that meant an extensive wait time to get on an elevator to go up the next morning. I left out and came back in. My bed was still not made. I had to ask someone to fix it. And then it was not even fixed. Properly . I had to wait hours for them to bring me towels like literally there was two towels in the room, and I asked for extra towel it took forever for me to get a towel. The coffee maker was filthy. they would not even give me a bottle of water. Definitely a horrible time. you can smell that the carpet needed to be shampooed. The furniture in the room was just so raggedy. I would never go back there again.
