I didnt like anything about this place. The room is very small, which i was aware of it, but the bed was not comfortable and bed sheeting was all dirty. Bathroom was dirty and shower didnt work properly. There wa sa lot of noise from the street and corridors ... didnt sleep well for 2 nights.

Check-in Needs Improvement

We booked a room with double beds for our family of three, but unfortunately, the check-in experience at OYO Times Square left much to be desired. Upon arrival, we had to wait in a long line for approximately 30–45 minutes, as only one check-in counter was open. The staff member assisting us was polite but came across as somewhat cold and indifferent. Although the check-in itself was done quickly, it was clear that our reservation details were not properly reviewed—despite booking (and paying for) a room with double beds, we were assigned a room with only one full-size bed. We immediately returned to the lobby to get this corrected, but were told to wait in line again, resulting in another 20-minute delay. When we finally spoke with the same staff member, she did not offer an apology. Instead, she pointed out that our reservation showed we had "registered" for double beds, but not necessarily "booked" them—this felt like a frustrating and unnecessary technicality, especially since we paid a higher rate for the double beds. Altogether, it took us about an hour from arrival to finally getting into the correct room. While the location is convenient, the check-in process and the lack of accountability from the staff were disappointing. I hope OYO takes this feedback seriously and improves both their booking accuracy and customer service.

Is a good experience to stay on this place, is close to the Time Square area and dinning places, I really liked it, only detail is the size room, but is clean and in the last floor very quiet. I will back of course my next NY visit.

Two night stay ok/disappointing great location.

The hotel was very small even for a NYC hotel. When I booked on Expedia it changed my reservation to a ROH which I had no idea that actually meant the Hotel would give me the smallest room, available on check-in even though I requested a queen size bed online prior to making the reservation. I even contact the hotel after to confirm my reservation because I received a weird text message saying the hotel didn’t have my reservation, but once I call to confirm, they did in fact have the reservation and stated they will put me down for a queen size bed. The front desk attendant at first was a little standoffish when I gave her my reservation information. I asked her if she could please change my room because I wasn’t aware of that she did. Unfortunately the room that she transferred me to didn’t have a working air condition so they switched me over to another room, which ended up being smaller than my first room. At that point I just stayed the room there was no closet to put my stuff in. You can barely walk around the bed without banging your legs. The bathroom was super small, very uncomfortable to use some of the outlets did not work. The beds are not comfortable very springy the blankets and sheets are very cheap. I had to request two. The elevator took extremely long however, the location is prime if you don’t care about those things. Even though it’s listed as a four star hotel, I would actually say it’s more of a 2 I would give it a 3 for location only.

If only the rooms were as nice as the lobby

I stayed 5 nights on business. The location is great if you are a tourist as it is basically steps from time square. Check in was chaotic with only one person juggling the front desk and phone calls from upset guests. One had an AC issue, another an ADA room issue, and I'm not sure what the guy in front of me had going on, but Maria the front desk clerk was over it. My check in was seamless though. And then I got to my room.. It was a dark small box. I used to live in NY, so the size was expected, but this room was depressing, and the bathroom was not any better. Lots of mold in the shower and peeling paint in the bathroom. The one window in the room faced a dark wall, so it was pretty depressing. The mattress felt like it was something you would find at a bargain shop. It was horrible. I would never stay here again. For just a little more money there are way nicer properties. That said, the lobby was stylish and nice. But it did seem that a lot of guests had issues because every time I came downstairs it seemed someone was at the front desk looking less than pleased.

Rooms were ready an hour later than scheduled. One person at desk who was polite but overwhelmed by the incompetence surrounding him.Rooms were unusually small. Hallways and elevators barely fit people with luggage. Bed was uncomfortable so we decided to leave earlier than planned.

This hotel is falsely advertised as a 4-star property when it doesn’t even meet the basic standards of a 3-star. The room was tiny, extremely dated, and lacking basic amenities: no view, no coffee machine, no fridge, no chairs, sink broken. The overall condition was run-down, and absolutely nothing resembled the photos or description on Expedia. The most serious issue is not even that: I booked a twin bed room, as clearly shown in the listing and images on expedia website provided by hotel. Upon arrival, the hotel informed me that no such room even exists in the building. I was given a single bed instead. This was not a simple mistake or a last-minute change, it was blatant false advertising. I paid for a room that does not exist. This experience has made me seriously question the reliability of listings on Expedia. I am currently requesting a full refund and will see how much Expedia supports its customers in situations like this. I also expect Expedia to stop supporting false advertising by either removing the misleading photos and incorrect 4-star rating or removing this hotel entirely from its platform. Travelers deserve accurate, honest listings.

When we checked in there was no water in the hotel and the ac was not working. Checking in was easy but we were not told about the water and ac problems. Unforgivable! Both were fixed by noon the next day and things were fine after that. Glad we didn’t pay a lot for the room. We will go elsewhere and spend a little more next time.

Once arrived there was an issue locating my reservation then on top of the pricey room, the shower was clogged and had to take shower with the dirty water on my feet plus my deposit of $200 has not been reimbursed and it has been 3 weeks along with a receipt that did not reflect that payment.
