Nice property & very nice & helpful staff. We loved having a mini fridge & microwave in the room. The beds & pillows were comfortable. The location on 50th is away from the bustle of Times Square & a bit of a walk or train ride from that area if you’ll be going to shows. The furniture is a bit older & outdated but still in good functional shape. Overall a good place to stay.

Great place to stay, would stay again. Only issue we had was when we reserved we understood that there was a morning breakfast area with cereals, eggs, toast and coffee, however that was not the case. However with that shortfall or misunderstanding on our part, the San Carlos is an excellent place to stay and we highly recommend the hotel.

We just completed a 9 day stay at the San Carlos. EVERYTHING … our room (1606) and the housekeeping staff were perfect, the staff at reception and the door were wonderfully friendly and accommodating, and the location is great if you enjoy walking and using the subway and trying the wonderful array of restaurants and stores close by. Only minor suggestion would be to upgrade the TVs, especially for guests who are staying more than 1-3 nights. We do HIGHLY recommend the San Carlos to anyone visiting NYC.
