We had a great time. The room was spacious and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Our only issue was the heater would make a very loud noise when it would turn on but when the hotel checked in via text we reported it and it was fixed. Great customer service!

The hotel itself was fine - the room was very clean, had a nice view of Times Square and the hotel is in a great location. The elevator system is slightly confusing but you soon get used to it. My one complaint is on the deposit and urban destination charge. At the time of booking, there was no information provided on the additional charges at check-in. I was told at check-in that I had paid in full for the room, however I would still need to pay a deposit of USD 200 per night (which was more expensive than the cost of the room per night). I would only receive around USD 160 of that amount per night back, because the remainder was taken as an 'urban destination charge' (effectively a USD 40 tax per night). I was told that this pays for a variety of services that I don't want/need, such as free use of bikes or parking. I understand that these charges are increasingly common in New York - however I would have appreciated this being made clear at the time of booking. There was no information on either the deposit or the urban destination charge on Expedia or the hotel's website, and I was led to believe that I had already paid in full. Apart from that I have no complaints about the hotel.

Rooked on the credit card “hold”. Nice place.

The hotel was nice. The valet staff and restaurant staff were great. The manager was not polite. They put a $200 hold on a credit card for ancillaries. That’s normal. What’s NOT normal? I stayed one night. We arrived relatively late. Our only charge was for dinner, and the overnight valet. Rather than taking that from the ancillary hold, they charged my card (both were room charges) and STILL kept the ancillary charge hold on the card. The total for the valet and the meal were less than the original $200 hold. We were checking out. There were no more charges to be had. Yet they claim they had to put another $200 hold on it because we had expended 195… By the way, the restaurant prices were crazy… No wine involved…the valet was nearly $100. I am well aware that New York prices are high. But typically, you would balance out when you left. So if in fact, our answer is slightly higher than 200? We would pay the difference. But no. They charged us a $200 hold that we didn’t get released for days and days and days. He acted like that was standard. However, this is a Hilton. I have stayed in 1 million HILTON‘s. And I have a lot of points. None of them have ever done that. And yes, I have stayed in large cities. Loved Juan, the valet. He was personable and kind.

This place was beautiful and we had a city view which was literally Times Square. It was clean and overall we had an amazing time. I highly recommend
