Lovely old style hotel

Loved the old world style and furnishings of this hotel. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed. Shower was huge. Air conditioning unit in the room was noisier than we were used to. We had a great view from our room. We were a stones throw from the tube station. Lots of great places to eat within a short walking distance. We enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly.

Nostalgic delight

Bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on. The long pillows and vigorous AC were much appreciated. Fixtures were all refreshingly old-fashioned (a tub with stationary shower head!) but in excellent condition. In-room coffee makers and free housekeeping are endangered species in NYC hotels, so I was delighted to find them here! If you miss the way hotels "used to be" you owe it to yourself to stay here! Location was also perfect, for either theaters or museums, and only steps away from many excellent restaurants.

The bed was comfortable and the hotel clean. The restaurant Nice Matin had excellent food. We were able to get on the M79 SBS bus across the street from the hotel to cross Central Park to the Upper East Side. Daughter had a baby at Lenox Hill Hospital. So convenient. Definitely would stay again.
