The cleaning staff amazing. Room was in perfect order after housekeeping and felt good to get back, even though, the hotel is old and furniture, towels, broke lightbulbs, curtains (didn’t close) carpet and insulation (yes it was freezing because the chilled wind got through the window) which was a disappointment. Super confortable bed! An overall good enough experience for the price.

The hotel room was spacious with beautiful light coming from the big windows especially on a high floor. It was a nice airy room with a comfortable bed and clean sheets. The windows could use some washing however as they were grimy and the blinds were broken. The place needs a little bit of an upgrade. My biggest complaint however is the lack of essential amenities like a simple box of tissues or paper cups or glasses or nicer body soap. The only water available in the hotel was a vending machine in the lobby which had a sign that said "no water"! For the online price, I guess this hotel is ok but I've stayed in other hotels with the same cost but had the basic and essential amenities that make one want to stay. It's a shame since the area is very convenient being close to Grand Central. If I stay here again, I need to make sure I bring my own soap, tissues, water and paper cups!

Great Hotel

Two blocks from Gr Cent Station. Easy walk. This hotel is fantastic. The largest room I have ever had in NYC. And it had a walk-in closet. The hotel was just perfect.

HUGE room with comfortable bed, bench, desk, 2 comfy easy chairs. Bathroom brand new & great shower. I would have given 5 stars except for the following: There is only an outlet on one side of the bed. The comfy seating area has a HUGE hanging light fixture that only allows about 12 inches to get between the bed and light fixture. The switch to turn off that huge light fixture is at the door to the room (probably 50 feet away). I put on the sconce next to the bed so I could read in bed, but when I walked back to the door to turn off the really bright hanging light fixture, all the lights turn off. In the bathroom, there is a light in the over the sink mirror, but it either didn't have bulbs or wasn't hooked to the switch. No switch on the frame. There also weren't any glasses or cups in the room. I didn't realize that until I was in bed ready to take nighttime meds. I was counting on using the fitness center, but it is under renovation. They offered a pass to a sister hotel (15 min walk away).
