Worst Hotel Experience – Do Not Stay Here!

This was by far the worst hotel stay I have ever had. The room was filthy—dusty, dirty, and completely unkempt. The bathroom was disgusting, and there were hardly any towels available. The maid repeatedly barged into our room without knocking, waking us up, and then had an attitude because we were still there. Completely unprofessional. The front desk staff was no better—one employee was on her phone the entire time, offered no help, and was rude. The security guard was literally asleep on the job. To make matters worse, the elevator didn’t work, the refrigerator in our room was broken, the carpets were filthy, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. There was no room service, and the hotel looks nothing like the pictures online. The worst part? They never returned my deposit! And to top it off, there are no working phones anywhere—not in the rooms, not even to contact the front desk. This place is a complete scam. I will never stay here again, and I strongly advise everyone to avoid it. Absolutely unacceptable.

Great location and property

We checked into the Tuscany on 3/29/25 for an evening in the city to celebrate our anniversary. We were so happy with our stay, that we decided to extend our trip. The service we received by the front desk staff and hospitality staff were impeccable. Erica and her team were super friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived.

A Great - and Quiet -Midtown Stay

The property was in the midst of a refresh… but everything important was in place. Check in was a breeze. Staff friendly and professional. My room was on the 9th floor facing the street. Bathroom was up to the minute. New flooring and wall paper in the hallway but the rest of the room was the older look but spacious w solid natural light and a view of the Chrysler building. The bed was great and the TV and lights all worked. Good sized desk and outlets to charge devices in three locations. Updated fridge… no coffee maker but a non issue for me. Nicely located…small grocery stores, drug store starbucks and a number of independent restaurants all in walking distance. There is a bar off the lobby if you would like a safe place to have a night cap. A 5 minute walk to Grand Central Station and major north south bus lines means you could get anywhere in the city. The best surprise was how quiet it was at night. Yes the occasional police siren or a loud guest arriving back, but really remarkably quiet for being in the middle of NYC. Good for biz, family, couple or solo travel. I would happily return to Tuscany by Lux.

All in all we would stay here again. The rooms are HUGE! We had 2 queen beds and the bathroom tub was a deep soaker tub which was clean and relaxing. Down fall - no phone number for the front desk. Apparently they eliminated that option in all but one (the Washington) of their properties. We got there a bit early and they held our luggage until the room was ready which is what other hotels do until the rooms are ready at 3pm. I felt safe in the property and was a 5 min walk to grand central and everywhere we needed to be. I saw a lot of negatives but the air conditioner worked. Heat worked. Bed was comfortable and this is our 3rd trip in March and this has been the most comfortable so far. Didn’t really hear the noise outside except for a random early morning honk. Had no problem getting more towels or well anything. I was skeptical but I would stay here again for the size, location, and value!

The rooms were quite large and nice and they were quite large. Having stayed in New York about 8 times this was by far the nicest and largest rooms we had stayed in. Everyone was very friendly and prompt service. This hotel is also in a very walkable distance to many things like time square and grand central which was amazing. Will stay here again.

My husband and I love Tuscany LuxUrban hotel. We stay there whenever we visit our son who lives just a few blocks away. We usually book a corner room which is nice and spacious and has plenty of natural light. The staff at Tuscany is always friendly and professional. We’ll be back for sure,

The room — it was really a suite — was huge!! Bed was comfortable and the area was very quiet, which I appreciate as a weary traveler. On the downside, the lobby was barren and sometimes there was no sign of staff. Elevators permit people wandering in to access any floor of the hotel until 10pm at night, when the keycards kick in. Limited food options: only one restaurant, a high end Indian restaurant with very tasty (but exceedingly spicy to Western palates) food. Neighborhood was so-so. Flipside of being in a quiet spot was that streets can feel eerily empty walking back to the hotel at night.
