Perfect for stopover

One night stopover en route to Scotland, couldn’t fault it really the staff were pleasant, the room clean, bathroom refurbed, public areas well maintained. Good price/value ratio.

Stayed here for a night which was the right amount of time. The toilet in my room had a leak and I was informed just after I checked in and paid. As a goodwill gesture they offered me free drinks at the bar. I would have preferred another room or a discount which wasn't offered. Breakfast was disappointing and lacked variety. There were no scrambled eggs-only fried. I don't think I would return.

A bit disappointing

The place is in need of refurbishment. It could be a fantastic place and grounds, but it’s run down and not well maintained. Staff were nice but things like food is only available from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and the lack of a room service menu make it feel like the hotel is being kept at minimum staffing to just keep the doors open. The cooked breakfast wasn’t great either, very greasy.
