Set in peaceful Newstead—a charming riverside town—you are ideally placed to explore the iconic streets of Maldon, Castlemaine and Daylesford. Relax in the quiet garden by the water feature for a restful stay.

Our charming period cottage is tucked just over the Loddon River in Newstead. While the backyard (152 m²) is fenced, there’s a park directly across the road and farmland and bushland nearby — which can be very exciting for curious noses! So please keep dogs on a lead when out and about, and make sure they’re supervised in the backyard.

Please wipe down the oven, the cook top & BBQ if you have used it during your stay. You will find some special wipes in the drawer under the oven.

Neal and Marie are very welcoming hosts, who will tend to any needs to make your stay stress-free. The cottage has been beautifully and tastefully restored, with the addition of a modern bathroom. A lovely, quite and comfortable place to stay. Very well thermally insulated with an easy to access bathroom (from the main bedroom) with a double shower. We all loved this property - very peaceful spot, had everything we needed, well equipped, quality furnishings, comfortable, with a perfect verandah to chillax on! Newstead is a great location to explore surrounding areas, and the local IGA and butcher is handy if you want to self cater. Friendly town & owners - we felt very welcome.
