A lovely lodge located on a gentle hill overlooking the plains. Staff are phenomenal, warm and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. We went on a morning game drive and a sundowner, both were excellently arranged. Whilst there is limited choice for food, breakfast, lunch and dinner were all provided and the food was tasty and homemade well seasoned. They made our daughter chips. We loved the warm rock cakes! The hotel manager is a real gem. The lodge was well signposted and easy to find, it’s down a track but easily navigated without needing an SUV. The rooms feel safe and cool and the mattress was one of the comfiest of our trip.

Beware of bookings via Expedia at this lodge! We booked 3 months before our 4 night stay and paid in full in advance. When we arrived they said they had no record of the booking. It was late in the evening and the lodge is 60 km from the nearest town. They arranged accommodation at a tented lodge nearby but we then spent the next three days negotiating with them to get a refund! Lodge looked nice from what we saw, having not stated there, but will clearly prioritise corporate bookings over independent travellers. Caution advised!

Stellar stay and staff

Absolutely fabulous! What more could you ask for? Über friendly staff, excellent meals, food on request, and stunning rooms with a view from a hilltop. Lindi and Antony were particularly awesome. It is 7-8 chalets and a few campsites large. Advice for future travelers, turn off the tar road at the "Xhabe Safari 2km" sign at top of the hill and do not rely on the GPS.

Hele mooi luxe tent. Prachtig uitzicht, heel hartelijke ontvangst met allerlei hapjes en uitleg over de captivistrook. Goede wifi hele hartelijke staff. Doordat wij er in t laag seizoen waren geen andere gasten maar de gastheer at gezellig mee en dat voelde niet ongemakkelijk.
