We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the Hotel Riu Palace Aruba. The hotel is located in a great location with great beaches and vibrant nightlife. The property was very clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was diverse and very good throughout our stay. To top it off, the New Year’s Eve at the Moomba Restaurant was exceptional and a true highlight of the trip. While seating around the beach and pool was limited during peak times, it did not detract from an otherwise excellent overall experience.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had in my life! The rooms smell like mold to the point where my son got so sick to the point that I had to send him to the hospital! Plus I will never book with Expedia ever again very unhappy with the help I received with them with this whole booking!

The frontline staff at RIU Aruba are genuinely friendly and want to help, and they deserve credit for their attitude. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the administrative staff, who came across as patronizing when issues arose and seemed to have very little autonomy or common sense in resolving them. Our experience started off poorly when they refused to let my wife check in without me, despite our flights being delayed separately. That set the tone. We then ran into multiple issues with both check-in and our room. We were repeatedly told things like “a bed is being sent,” only to be told later that it wasn’t possible—sometimes after we’d already been moved to another room. The lack of coordination was frustrating, and we often had to argue just to get solutions that were logical and reasonable. The property itself is also poorly maintained. During our stay, part of the pool bar actually broke and fell onto guests, which was alarming. Room cleaning was inconsistent as well—we often had to wait until late in the day for service. The food was another major disappointment. While you can eventually find something edible, the overall quality and presentation are very poor for a resort of this size and reputation. Overall, you do get what you pay for in this area, but given the disorganization, maintenance issues, and food quality, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and would not return.

The room was beautiful and staff did a great job cleaning daily. The entire staff was amazing and very friendly. The food was good and the property including the pool was fabulous. We would definitely go back!

Our room had water coming from the floors when you step on it. I called to complain and nobody even came to look at it. I had to request cleaning multiple times and still did not get my room cleaned until I made a big deal with the manager and finally got our room cleaned at 10pm. They have 4 restaurants and only open 2 per day that maybe seat 40-50 people in a day and are walk in only. Impossible to get a table at the restaurants so buffet is your only option. Terrible experience. Very Disappointed.

Everything was good except my room 180. Curtain was transparent and everything was visible from outside. Darkening shades would not work. There was bright light coming in making it difficult to sleep
