Alex Beach Cabins - Alexandra Headland Hotels

Alex Beach Cabins

21-23 Okinja Road, Alexandra Headland - Map
"Cabin in caravan park"
Staff were great, so no issues there. However the floor in the room was not particularly clean, black feet and sticky. It was a basic room for basic price so overall ok, but we didn't know it was on a caravan park, I thought it was more of a complex. But didn't matter, no issues. Only slight niggle was the lawn mowing started at around 7am, really loud right outside the door! Nice way to wake! But overall was a fair price for a fair room and no real issues. You get what you pay for and nothing is really cheap now so we were just glad to get a good nights sleep. Bed was a little small if you are tall, but not a major point. Shower worked, toilet worked, TV worked, toaster and kettle worked, so all good.

"Good value for money, close to beach"
This hotel is great value for money. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment & size of rooms were massive. AC worked a treat in main living area & ceiling fan in bedroom. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Only negatives were the amount of stairs & loud night / early morning traffic when bedroom doors were open (garbage truck came at 6am each morning over Easter sat - easter monday waking us each morning). But overall recommend for price of rooms.

Maroochydore Beach Motel - Maroochydore Hotels

Maroochydore Beach Motel

69 Sixth Ave., Maroochydore - Map
Stayed for two nights. An average place to stay. As the name says>a motel. Clean and tidy and close to the beach. I was under the impression that, as in the photos advertising the motel, I would be able to sea the sea. I hadn't realised that everything is on ground level. Handy to be able to park the car in front of one's room.

"Fantastic Central Position"
We enjoyed our swim in the back heated pool, shaded partly in the afternoon. Loved seeing the tropical fruit and organic garden. Lifts and user friendly access are a bonus for guests as is the close proximity to the beach for walks and swimming.

"Nice enough but needs a little TLC"
Short stay with my better half over the weekend. There's a lot to like about the hotel, bathrooms are nicely fitted out, location is great and local amenities are good too...plenty of places of paces to eat and a great watering hole. But....there's a few aspects that need a little work (admittedly they do appear to be heading in the right direction) of the apartment are looking very tired and in need of a little TLC, namely the kitchen and bedroom. The bed was especially uncomfortable, neither my wife or I manged to get a decent nights sleep and we both woke up with pretty sore necks. Pool and outside area is very good and it is just across the road from the beach. It's a shame, just a few improvements would make this a great place to stay. Maybe worth another look in a year or so...
