I stay at the courtyard a lot but this is by far the worst one I’ve ever stayed in. No hot water to bathe or shower and it’s freezing outside, we had to shower in cold water. The hotel needs to be updated everything is old and outdated except for the lobby. The room was not thoroughly cleaned , stains on our bedding nasty carpet, stains on the curtains. Beds are so uncomfortable , hard beds with flat pillows… overall experience was Horrible!!! Never will stay or recommend to anyone

The staff at the front desk and the valet parking staff were all very nice, and approachable. My only concerns are: they should have a safe deposit box in ALL rooms, they should have a bath mat in all showers to prevent any slips/falls - especially with older folks etc. and a luggage rack would be nice. The pool/spa were not available and I wish we had been advised upon check-in or by Expedia.

Carpet had clear accumulation of dirt and sheets had blood on them. Towels smelled as though they hadn’t been refreshed recently. Would recommend replacing carpets asap. Staff were incredibly kind!

This hotel is lovely. Only drawback is that breakfast is not worth the money you pay for it, both because of limited menu and because the hotel only offers starbucks as refreshment.

Amazing Staff, Amazing Stay
Right after Christmas Day I took a bus trip to Norfolk. Being that I'd be on foot for all of my getting around, I decided to find a hotel close enough to both the bus station and downtown and I landed upon this little spot. I'm so glad I did, because I now have a favorite place to stay down there! If you're looking for a super sleek modern room that's packed to the gills with WOW factor, this might not be the best fit, but for a sightseer like me who just needs a clean room, a hot shower, a comfy bed, this was perfect. The location was utterly perfect. But what made the stay one of my favorite stays ever was the staff, hands down. The most polite, smiling, happy to help staff members, no matter their position. They recommended amazing places to eat and check out while I'm in town, and they weren't generic choices either, they were things that fit my tastes exactly! The only thing that could've been a negative, got flipped into a positive. I went to their breakfast cafe and it seemed like their POS system was giving them issues. I ordered something to go and after 20 minutes someone came to me and asked if I'd received my order, which I said no. They came back with a box full of goodies for my wait and apologized profusely. Every aspect of my stay, even mishaps like their system giving them problems, was handled with high care for others and respect. I can't recommend this place more, they were wonderful!
