Compared to my first visit, this stay came with a few challenges. The shower wasn’t properly cleaned, and I had to call maintenance for both the showerhead and the safe. The headboard also appeared to be torn, and the restaurants closed at midnight, which was disappointing since nightlife was the main reason I chose The Main. I would consider staying again, but the accommodations were not top-notch.

First, it wasn’t really the room I thought I was getting, the pic didn’t line up to what I got, then, I didn’t know you get charged for parking and I feel like that should be included in the price for how much I’m paying for it. I’ve never heard a hotel charging their guest to park in their establishment. This was a surprise stay for my husband for his birthday on New Years, because he heard of this hotel and thought it would be nice and I told him it was since I’ve stayed here before for my birthday years ago and celebrated a friend’s birthday there before. Also, we didn’t have breakfast there because I believe it’s another charge to do so. For the amount I’m paying I could have just got a resort stay at the oceanfront at VA Beach for less but that’s on me. Also, the blanket had a blood stain on it, the blinds in the room were so difficult to pull down for privacy and back again when we wanted to see the view; felt like they were going to break and would hurt my hand from straining. Even the mini fridge seemed like it didn’t work, didn’t keep none of our stuff really cold and last but not least, for a high value hotel, and now being 2026, why we don’t have microwaves in the rooms, then you send a young lady to bring it and not a man, that’s crazy…The only nice part was the view, that I had to pay for and the Christmas decorations, oh and also the guy who checked me in, sorry I forgot his name but he was great

We checked in about 5:45, were never told our room number or how to get to our room. The front desk seemed annoyed we were even there. The information for the restaurants on site was not correct. We went upstairs to the Grain for HH which was nice our appetizer took almost an hour to come out, we closed out to go to dinner at downstairs restaurant and the bartender was inattentive. We finally decided to go back to our room for wine and asked the front desk for a wine key which they said no too. We called about another concern and was told no manager was on duty. Will not be hosting another girls night there.

We’ve stayed here three times already and we really love it. The location is excellent, and having convenient restaurants inside the hotel makes everything so easy.
