Dirty scammer hotel. STAY AWAY
DIRTY, worn out, and absolutely no customer service. The 4% credit card surcharge which the sign stated was max allowed turned out to be almost 15%. No one could speak English to try and straighten out. They knew how to charge, but no idea how to credit. Total dirt bag, scammer set up. Never stated anywhere in my life as bad as this place.

of course the view is the big plus... but WIFI is not part of the deal... and the fact that you have to pay for ice & the ice machine doesn't work could be a problem except they did give me a little ice but didn't get my money back. the hvac/plumbing seems as though it needs help. there was no phone to the front desk in my room and although bathroom was clean & worked fine, definite musty moldy smell in bedroom were a/c leaked (on to bed) employees very nice & tried to be helpful I had beautiful weather. NO cable to speak of some analog chanels

I’ve stayed in North Wildwood every year for 30 years and have stayed at many hotels. This is my first negative review. First the pros. There’s a cafe/bar on site that was convenient. Also our waitress was very nice. The view from our room was great. Cons- All other staff seemed like they didn’t care at all and none of their rules they posted were enforced. There were people in the pool all night and even at 6 in the morning. Hard to enjoy the great view when there’s constant guests in the pool directly In front of the rooms. I’m all for people smoking pot in their own time and space but there were guests smoking out on the balcony our entire stay. It was so potent I was worried my kids would get contact high. We mentioned it to the staff and they did nothing. On to the rooms. They were the oddest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Wildwood hotels are often dated, that doesn’t bother me. It looked like a one bedroom with a living room that was converted into a two bedroom(probably so they could charge more). The “kitchenette” was a mini fridge. Not even a microwave. 900 for three days, just not worth it.

Oceanfront View Needs Major Updates
This motel is very dated. NJ motels tend to be very basic and not fixed up but this one takes it to the extreme. Made reservation through Hotels.com but could not locate our reservation. I had to show them my confirmation to check in. Owners must live on premises and lounge around on the chairs in the lobby, flipping through their phones and acting disinterested. The staff is nice but good luck getting any issue taken care of. They will put a request in with maintenance but no one ever comes to fix anything. Our screen to the balcony was ripped halfway down and was never fixed. We ended up taking the screen off so we could see the ocean. Rooms are basically clean enough to stay in but if you are a germaphobe don’t stay here. Vents are full of dirt and look like they paint over dirt instead of cleaning. They have something like central air not wall units but you cannot control the temperature. We were ok in September not sure how summer would be. Beds were ok but were double beds so cramped. Shower water was hot with good pressure. Towels are very thin. There is no blow dryer. Rooms are not very airtight so bugs seem to sneak in somehow. Direct oceanfront view was great but sliding glass door was filthy. There is a bar and restaurant on site but didn’t try because were uncertain due to how rooms were. Large pool, seemed ok but only thing we saw in the pool was seagulls. Was not the worst but would not stay again especially price for value.
