The Sather tries too hard to be cool. The bathroom has a barn door that isn't the right size, and offers no privacy. The floor boards were coming up in one spot, there was drywall damage that was poorly repaired, and paint was peeling in the bathroom. Then, the free WiFi keeps booting us out, and the TV loses signal every half hour or so. Not worth another stay.

They should not advertise that this room rate come with breakfast which was a joke. Coffee was the worst I had in many ears! Cigarette smoke Cigarette smoke permeates and spills over even in the so called nonsmoking rooms. The USB charging plugs do not work in the room.

Decent Hotel If On A Budget

Front desk staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Parking lot is small and they allowed us to use their staff spot instead of parking on the street. Rooms are a little dated but clean. Beds are too firm for my liking and the room ac’s cycle on and off all night, making it warm in the rooms when they aren’t running. Overall I felt like I got what we paid for

Filthy room that smelled horribly of smoke

Filthy, stinky, disgusting room! I had room #207 upstairs and it was so bad -- the walls had holes in them that were patched and not painted. The floors visually had spills on them. The comforter had a disgusting yellow stain on it. The bathroom had no ventilation and the window needed to be opened to get out the moisture; however there was no screen on the window, letting in bugs. When I arrived there was a dirty rag on the floor. The hotel has a no smoking and no weed smoking policy but #207 reeked of ciggie smoke and it smelled like someone just lit a weed pipe. It was gross and my allergies started getting bad as soon as I went in and closed the door. This hotel is one of the worst that I've ever stayed in.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Parking in the lot was very convenient. The room was dirty. The bedspreads were not only stained but also had fresh smears of dirt on them. There was a lot of water damage: loose and warped floor boards, peeling baseboards and threshold between bathroom and bedroom. The floor had dirt and some greasy spots. It was uncomfortably dirty. I would not stay here again.

There we modern upgrades but you could tell there was some past water damage in the room. There was an issue with the bathroom but the front desk and maintenance were very responsive. Close to campus and in town activities.
