The ocean is right off the resort. Family friendly offering many amenities for families. Location is convenient for shopping, dining, exploring, and relatively easy commuting for attractions nearby. Lots of parking available including a large parking garage and a lot. Responsive staff when in need of something. Really enjoyed the ice cold water available at no cost in and out of the resort to hydrate their clients. Our 2nd time visiting this resort, one of our favorites when visiting OC.

Travelocity portrayed this property to be luxorious & high end & it was neither. It was ok on the cleanliness, but the staff seemed super overwhelmed. We had to ask several times for towels. Our view was great! And having access to the beach was awesome. But I was expecting a much bigger pool w/a swim up bar & that's definitely not what I got.

It has a lot of resort amenities but the place was extremely noisy even the ac unit sounded like a truck every time it came on. The food and the vibe were great but the hotel is really old.

Usually when we stay at Carousel everything is ok butbthisntime we went there were several situations. The first was in our oceanview room we had, the sink literally fell outnof the counter top in the bathroom, i had to use the portable heater to hold it up until maintenance crew came to fix the sink.however the rest of the days the whole bathroom smelled like adhesive.. Then we went to the pool 2 different days, the last day we went to the pool it had too many chemicals in it, our skin started to itch and burn.. we had to get out the pool. Usually we have a good tike but this time it seemed that the hotel was doing its best to make us uncomfortable. We were not given a discount or anything for the sink falling out ,the smell, etc..
