A comfortable refurbished modern home in a perfect location in the centre of Olonzac.
Set back from the road to provide quiet, in the grounds of a small chateau, it has a private patio, and a garden and 10m pool shared with 2 other houses and there is also a gated car park.
The house is in a perfect location 100m from the facilities of the friendly small town of Olonzac, the centre of the Minervois wine region. When you venture out of town you will see vineyards every way you look! And you are a 30 min drive from the medieval fortified town of Carcassonne.
You can walk out every morning to get fantastic warm pastries, bread, savouries and cakes from the bakery 100m away. And if you fancy a coffee or something stronger there are some bars, cafes and restaurants with outdoor seating only 200m away.

The property consists of a large open plan sitting room with dining area and well equipped kitchen area. With washing machine, dish washer, ceramic hob, toaster oven, filter coffee maker and microwave. We leave salt and pepper, ground coffee, tea bags and sugar for guests, and there are often other items like olive oil etc.
We also leave hand soap in the bathroom and shower gel.
In the sitting room is a new IKEA sofa bed, and there is also a work space with desk, monitor, plug in keyboard and lap top stand. Just bring your own laptop, mouse, and cables to connect to the monitor if you want to work, play or study. The house has internet by cable which is usually very good, but we can not guarantee availability.
Why not come for a holiday then stay a little longer to WFH in the sun, with your lunch breaks spent in the pool!

Downstairs is equipped with air conditioning and upstairs there are fans provided if they are needed.
For winter visits the house is equipped with electric wall heaters, and the air conditioning is also a heater, although we have found the house quite cosy without them in the southern french milder winters.

At the front of the house is a large private patio with a sun shade, table and chairs and sun beds, and at the back of the house is another small patio (with washing line), so you can chase the sun or the shade, depending on your preference.
