Excellent service This is my second time being there and my boyfriend loves it as well, it’s quiet, smells awesome, free hot coffee and cookies and the staff will do anything that they’re able to make your stay the best. They’re polite and friendly and don’t treat you like a guest. The prices are awesome. We will be back next month

We stayed here with family (2 rooms) for one night. The hotel looks charming with a lot of character and is within walking distance of the Old Market and Gene Leahy Mall. Unfortunately there were issues with both rooms. The front desk staff accommodated a room change when we had a constant buzzing sound from the vent in our first room. The second room's TV didn't work. The hotel is not well staffed; the bartender was also responsible for all room service orders and was clearly overwhelmed. She also said repeatedly that she was new and complained about the job to several guests while we were at the bar for less than an hour. Overall, probably wouldn't recommend staying at the Magnolia.

There were several highlights during our stay, most notably the staff. They were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to look after my grandmother when she arrived before the rest of our party. The shuttle driver was equally pleasant. We also appreciated the gated parking lot, the easy access to the property, and the spacious in-room fridge and convenient 3rd floor microwave. And the complimentary champagne was delightful. However, several issues significantly impacted our experience. We booked two identical rooms, yet neither was fully furnished; one had a lounge chair and lamp but no bed bench, while the other room was the exact opposite. More concerning was cleanliness; I found dried urine on my toilet seat upon arrival. The rooms felt dated, with blinds that were broken and in need a of a deep clean. Additionally, the toilet was noisy, the TVs are outdated, and the Wi-Fi was unreliable, with my connection dropping multiple times during the trip. Finally, we were very disappointed by the bathrobe situation. Despite Expedia listing them as an included amenity, the front desk informed us they cost $70 for the trip. As I was particularly looking forward to lounging in a robe, this was a major letdown. Unfortunately, considering these issues, I would not look into staying at the Magnolia again.

I think we just caught them on an off day. They seemed to be short staffed and spread thin. I requested a crib for my baby to be delivered to the room via the messaging feature and when I did not hear anything back about it an hour or so later I called to make sure they received the request. The person I spoke with said they would get it taken care of. I arrived a few hours later and the front desk had a note that my room needed one and said the person was taking care of it. I arrived to my room and there was no crib so we went to dinner to give them more time. There was still no crib when we had returned from dinner almost 2 hours later so I called again. The front desk person did personally bring it promptly after I called which I appreciate but this was now my 4th time bringing it to their attention. Our dinner was around 140 for my husband and I to eat and a kids meal. We also got cocktails. Our first cocktails arrived quickly. My husband loved his and mine left a lot to be desired. When I got to the bottom of the sangria it was super sweet which makes me think it possibly wasn’t mixed as the top was very astringent and bitter. Our second cocktails were delivered after we had finished our meal as the bartender had disappeared for a while. Our server was very kind and did take it upon himself to pour the beer we had ordered. We appreciate his initiative! My second cocktail was great! Just a real mixed bag experience and I know this can’t be typical.
