StrandHotellet is in a very nice location with a nice view of the sea. Because I am a Hotels.Com Gold member, we received a room upgrade. The people helping us were very accomodating. The larger room was available and they were able to offer it to us. A number of very good restaurants within short walking distance. Nice location for driving around the country side. Free parking available was handy. Breakfasts were pretty good. We had a very nice stay.

Kom vid 19. Såg ingen annan på hotellet under hela vistelsen. Receptionen svarade snabbt i telefonen. Poolen syntes inte till, fast jag letade. Ingen frukost serverades, den fick vi gå till infartsmacken och äta. Tyst och lugnt och mitt i stan, trevligt läge.

Strandhotellet som jag nyligen besökte lämnade mycket att önska. Rummet, som var väntat att vara en fristad för vila, var istället slitet med tydliga tecken på försummelse. Sängen, en central komponent för en god natts sömn, var av bedrövlig kvalitet. Jag kunde känna varje fjäder genom det tunna madrassöverdraget, vilket gjorde det svårt att finna någon komfort. En annan besvikelse var avsaknaden av en kaffemaskin i foajén. I en tid då små bekvämligheter kan göra stor skillnad i gästupplevelsen, kändes detta som en försummad detalj som lätt kunde ha förbättrats. Frukosten var ett ytterligare område där hotellet inte levde upp till förväntningarna. Medan jag förstod att vissa begränsningar kan finnas, var utbudet knappt godtagbart. Avsaknaden av varma rätter gjorde att frukosten kändes otillräcklig och inte i linje med vad man normalt förväntar sig från ett hotell av denna klass. Sammanfattningsvis var min vistelse på hotellet en besvikelse. Från det slitna rummet och den obekväma sängen till de bristfälliga bekvämligheterna och en undermålig frukost, fanns det flera områden där hotellet kunde ha gjort betydande förbättringar för att höja gästupplevelsen.
