Comfortable

It was not a bad room but it could use some improvement. The tile around the shower needs some work, and the shower could be bigger. There was no chair in our room besides the chair that went with the desk. The bed was comfortable and I loved that the tress blocked the sun from coming in the room. Customer Service was great, the restaurant was delicious and I enjoyed the margaritas, I had one every day I was there. I would recommend the hotel but be prepared to pay $32.00 for self parking and $35.00 for valet parking, the website for doubletree only gives you the price for valet parking, we got lucky and parked on the street in front on the hotel for free. I give the hotel a 8 overall.

I drove to Orlando from Ocala around 5 am Sunday due to a grandchild who was in a severe car accident and airlifted to Arnold Palmer. I needed a room last night so i could go back to hospital this morning..I was very very tired ..my room key didn’t work. I was out in the hall for a bit and finally something happened and it worked about the same time Somebody brought me new room keys .then I got in and it was freezing in there so I raised the AC to a higher temperature ..needed a shower so I went in the bathroom and there was water on the floor between the toilet and the tub and I almost fell off the toilet seat because it was loose/broken. I got in the shower..it felt very unlevel so I got out as quick as I could. I dried up all the water with towels but it was there again this morning .I just wanted to go to bed. The TV remote hardly worked and no matter how high I tried to put the thermostat up, I was still freezing. I finally just found a way to turn the air conditioner off. It was not a good night.. I’ve never had problems like this at any other Hilton I’ve stayed at. did not have time to complain about it or call anybody because I just needed to sleep and get back to the hospital as soon as possible this morning..also the xtra door lock was broken ..I’m not very happy with my experience. I’d like to know what you can do to compensate me for such a terrible experience Because I surely do not feel it was worth what I paid for the room. Thank you….Helen

Front staff-Mady- was great and super helpful. Now the hotel in general was really good, has a fancy feel to it, and the safety of going to the rooms was really cool. But when it came to our room, the moment we walked in, the horrible smell just smacked us in the face, but didn’t even go away, it seemed to get worse through the night. Very unpleasant to be in the room. Wouldn’t mind staying again as long as I could sleep thru the night without feeling like I’m having to hold my breath. I’d give it a try

AC in our room didn’t cool and it took all day long for them to finally send someone only to say it wasn’t going to be any better and the motors are needing to be replaced and the hotel knew this. Then sold out so couldn’t get us in a comparable room until our last night. Terrible and outdated hotel not what I expect from a Hilton Doubletree

When we arrived to the hotel no one greeted us. The hotel was outdated and did not look like the pictures. When room service came to change out our blankets the new blankets had red stains on them and the main bed we slept in the sheets was just pulled back so they were not switched out!
