Our stay was nothing like the reviews. Reviews were misleading and did not reflect the reality of our stay. Room 701 on 7th floor was unacceptable dirty and nothing like the recently “renovated” felt more like a motel style.

The air conditioner in our room began to smoke in the middle of the night and set off the smoke alarm. We called the front desk and this is apparently normal, we were asked if we were going to check out at that time(in the middle of the night), they put us in a new room eventually. Later that morning a smoke alarm down the hall from us was set off by their air conditioner-same thing. Seems like they need to update some items.

This is a great alternative to staying at the Universal hotels, however the shuttle bus has limited service so we ended up taking Uber back and forth to the park each day which was an unexpected expense. The free breakfast options were wonderful though. We’d stay there again for sure.
