Disliked: Cleanliness
The home we rented was impressive at first sight, however, less so throughout our stay. As the home we rented last year was much less than clean, at least it was maintained functionally. This year I was impressed to see that it was "professionally cleaned", and this was a deciding factor in choosing our rental. There were many false statements on the rental information page, and several disappointments. The home had spills on the dining chairs and island stools that were not cleaned. The mat in front of the kitchen sink had spills on it, and the grate in the bottom of the sink had mould/rotten food all over it. There are no dish towels or pot holders/oven mitts. The main bathroom shower head was mostly clogged with hard water scale, I assume, and the clear sprayers, sprayed everywhere but down. The shower floor has a large black outline where water stands. There is no seal on the bottom of the shower door, and all the water that runs out. The sink taps had a dirty crust around them. The ensuite bathroom has a bathtub, but when I turned the tap on, some kind of black stuff came out with the water and it clung to the sides when drained. The tub had to be scrubbed before it could be used. While watching TV, there were numerous ants crawling up my legs at the couch. While looking for the source of the ants, I noticed that there were large spills under the couch. The patio’s furniture was moldy and broken.
