This is our go to place to stay when we go to Orlando, made a mistake one time not staying here, but will never do that again. Everything is just all around excellent, the girls at the desk could use a little customer training, smiles, little more friendliness but other than that I’m not going to give beyond excellent because I’ve stayed here so do many times

It was a nice place to stay. When we check in at first our room on the bottom floor was flooded because of rain. So they change into a different room which we are happy with that. Maintenance man was very nice to help us out to change room.

We had a truly disappointing and distressing experience during our recent stay. The management was unprofessional and confrontational, and the lifeguards—many of whom appeared young and untrained—were on clear power trips. They were even laughing and celebrating after calling the police and shutting down the pool, which created a traumatic situation for our children. At no point were our kids destroying property, despite what management claimed. Even the police officers on scene disagreed with the staff’s version of events but were obligated to act due to the manager’s behavior. This situation was escalated unnecessarily, and it was clear the issue stemmed from poor staff conduct, not from guests. To make matters worse, the room we stayed in smelled strongly of mold, raising concerns about cleanliness and air quality. I urge ownership to take a hard look at who is representing their property. Management and lifeguard staff need to be reevaluated, and facility maintenance clearly needs attention. What happened was unacceptable and not something any family should have to endure on vacation

Life guards weren't paying any attention they were on the phone and then high five when there was lightning within 10 miles and told everybody get out of the lazy river putting out the pool because lightning only Hits one at the other got locked out of my room for over an hour in my bathing suit got stuck in the elevator had to find my own way out no apologies no explanations had her request a different room thought I was getting a buffet breakfast just a standard make it yourself breakfast nothing like expected disappointed all the way around

The hotel has a small convenient store on the 1st level that is open until midnight- it has everything you could need! The hotel itself isn’t super fancy but the bed was really comfortable and the ac worked great. The restaurant next door had breakfast (you have to pay) and it was so-so, not super bad. But it’s fine if you’re on a time crunch. Every once in a blue you could hear people in the hallway and the door would move a bit and make a sound when other people were opening/closing their doors. Again, as long as you’re not looking for fancy - just comfortable and safe - then definitely opt for the RedLion Orlando Lake Buena Vista!

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality, service and attention to details - like infused ice water and a board with hours in the lobby - for such a reasonable rate. We've paid more for far less in the past at other places. The room was very spacious even with a king bed, a full sized couch bed (we didn't need it to sleep on, but it was comfortable to sit on), a desk and full size television and hutch for microwave, refrigerator and safe. The decor was more "high-end" than expected. I would give this a 5 star except for some small issues of worn out things: cabinets were very worn, cracked and peeling on the bottom; the shower drain plug needed to be removed so the water could drain because it was broken; the hanging system in the closet wasn't very functional, the suitcase stand was broken; and the microwave was rusted. Otherwise, it was impressive for the price and very comfortable and clean. Unfortunately, the pool area was over-crowded but on a holiday weekend that was not surprising.
