Great in Ortisei

Ortisei is a beautiful city. Our deluxe 2-bedroom apartment with a balcony overlooking the mountains is absolutely beautiful and comfortable, away from the pedestrian centre yet so close to it if you don't mind walking downhill and uphill. Similarly, the view from the outdoor swimming pool/jacuzzi is stunning. The apartment is well-equipped for self-cooking, but be prepared that there is no condiments except sugar for coffee and a small bottle of salt. Laundry facilities are available in the building @ 10 EUR per load inclusive of washing and drying. Alexander at the reception is very helpful. He even sent someone to the police station to help us pay our parking ticket which we got while parking at the supermarket because we didn't know that for free parking, we had to set time with the paper clock that was hidden in a pocket of our rental car. So caution for those not familiar with Italian parking essentials.

Mountain Apartments Gran Tubla

Had the best stay at Mountain Apartments Gran Tubla! The staff was great. We got a free upgrade to a bigger apartment which was very spacious and had everything we needed. The views from the bedroom and the outdoor terrace/backyard was phenomenal as you can see all the mountains surrounding Ortisei. The pool was exceptional. It flowed from indoors to outdoors through an automatic glass sliding door you can swim through and it had views of the mountains as well.

We loved our stay at Gran Tubla! We stayed at a DELUXE APARTMENT that was simply great for our family of 5. 2 spacious rooms with 2 spacious bathrooms that were perfect for us and our teenage kids. The balcony was perfect for the end of the day coffee and tea. The staff was super nice & friendly. Breakfast was great. Parking and ski room was excellent and comfy. We highly recommend Grand Tubla, we will definitely visit again :)

We enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice. My kids enjoyed the pool. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Always smiling. Breakfast was great. Only two things to be aware of 1) You have to check in by 6 2) It is located up a pretty steep hill ( good to know if you are walking/taking public transportation). I believe there is a city shuttle bus that drops you off somewhere above the hotel so you can walk down instead of up but we didn't need up taking it. We were given free bus passes to use the shuttles which was handy. We ended up using it on our return trip to Bolzano. If using public transit the 350 bus is more direct then the 170 (beautiful mountain route but not good if you get car sick).

Great views.

Had a large suite in the newer building - great views from balcony and plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Very clean and comfortable. Paid for breakfast two of the days and would say it was reasonably good value. Suite also had mini-kitchen.It's up a steep hill from centre of Ortisei but its the Dolomites so everywhere is up and down and got used to it and never felt need to wait for the local mini-bus service (free with supplied pass) to get up hill. Ortisei and the Gran Tubla are a good location for Val Garden as 3 cable cars and funiculars in the town to get up to high walking paths plus easy bus connections to other 2 main villages (with cable cars) in the valley.

Week end getaway between workdays

Brilliant appartment with wonderful view of the valley. Very polite and assisting vrew of this family operated apartment hotel. Nice breakfast with option to add made to order eggs, omelettes etc. Walking distance (1 km) to town center, at least down... some elevation to master on the way back - however needed after good dinners on the town :-)

Charming place

The photos do not do the residence justice. We had a large apartment with terrace and fantastic views. Option to have a delicious breakfast. About 5 mins (slightly steep)walk into beautiful Ortisei. Ski bus from door. Good for winter or summer. Would definitely recommend.

자동차가 있고 가족단위면 추천. 버스및 커플이면 비추천.

일단 진짜 언덕위에있다.오르티세이 하루종일 트래킹하고 와서 또 트래킹 하는 기분이 든다. 차가없는데 여길 예약한건 내가 굉장히 멍청했다고 생각이 들었고 마운틴뷰로 예약했는데 코너방을 배정받아서 기분이 좋지않았으며 들어가자마자 나는 냄새는 이상했다. 게다가 냉장고를 열어보니 누군가 먹다버린 물병이 있었다. 침구는 깨끗했지만 그 퀘퀘한 냄새는 계속 가시질 않았다. 체크인 시간이 오후2시부터 6시까진줄 알았으면 정말 예약 안했을텐데 미리 확인을 못해서 바보같았다. 트래킹 하고 오면 저녁인데 어쩔수없이 미리 산에서 내려와야 했었고 짐은 알아서 개리지에 맡겨두라고 했다. 오르티세이를 다시 간다면 안갈듯. 하지만 가족단위고 음식을 해먹을 의사가 있다면 추천.

Quick stay to watch Giro D'Italia 2017

Gran Tubla has everything and is in a great location just 10 min walk to town centre. The staff were super helpful and always smiling. We did not eat at all so can't review that experience. We had heaps of room and the kitchenette was well appointed. Car park was great. These people really care about their hotel and your experience and Ortisei is amazing. We will be back.
