Trullo Abate in the countryside of Ostuni

The trullo Abate is located in the countryside, on a hill, from where you can admire the ancient olive trees, almond trees and the city of Cisternino. In fact, the trullo has a strategic position, just 5 km from Cisternino, 6 km from Ceglie Messapica, 10 km from Martina Franca and 7 km from Ostuni and then 18 from the Adriatic Sea. It is a particular structure of its kind, consisting of a conical trullo and 3 Saracen trulli. It consists of a double bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and another room with a fireplace where there is a comfortable sofa bed for 2 people. Outside there are 10,000 meters of green available, with a gazebo , where you can eat comfortably in the shade, a barbecue, hammocks and other relaxing situations and an outdoor shower. There is internet connection. The trullo is equipped with sheets, towels, hair dryer and an equipped kitchen. It is the ideal place for those who love the countryside, the quiet and want to relax and at the same time go hiking in the characteristic villages of Valle d'Itria. Pets are allowed.

Terrific Stay in a Special Place
Almost 3 years since we first discovered Trullo Abate, we finally were able to come to Italy to enjoy our stay here. It was fantastic. So quiet, so private, and yet close to the wonderful towns of Ostuni, and Locorotundo, and Ceglie Messapica. Francesca was very patient with us over the last couple of years as we had to change plans several times. Lello was a very friendly helpful host, dropping in on us a couple of times during the week to feed his equally friendly dog, Nica, to make sure everything was OK. And it was. It was a marvelous experience and highly recommended for anyone looking for a very comfortable and very quiet trullo experience.

Tranquil Getaway in Puglia
This Trullo is located in the countryside and offers peace and quiet to those who stay there. The property is well finished, with a cosy atmosphere. The owners are extremely helpful with everything, from checking in and out, to advice on areas to visit, supermarket locations, and places to eat. Highly recommended. Many thanks to Bruno and Francesca for a fantastic holiday. We have already started planning a return trip.!

Wonderful little trullo in beautiful quiet countryside
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Trullo Abate. The house is well laid out and very tastefully decorated and furnished. The owners are helpful and kind and have provided good books about the area. The surrounding orchards and fields are filled with astonishing wild flowers as well as trulli, some of which are yet to be renovated. The house is in an ideal situation for visiting many interesting surrounding towns and villages. Thank you Francesca and Bruno for a great experience.

Gorgeous trullo away from it all
We wanted to stay somewhere away from it all, in a characterful place. We really couldn't have asked for more: this beautifully restored trullo is surrounded by olive groves with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside, and really feels tucked away. You can step outside from your bedroom in the morning and you are surrounded by peace and quiet and lovely greenery. It's reached by a small track from the main road going up the hill, and the nearest neighbours are a little distance down the track, you can just about see their roof poking out from neighbouring olive groves. Though it felt nicely isolated, it was ideally situated to visit all the lovely places in the Itria Valley - Ostuni, Cisternino, Ceglie Messapica, Locorotundo, Martina Franca, Alborello, coastal towns (on average 10 minutes to maximum 30 minutes away by car - you need one). It was easy to reach from Brindisi airport. Matera, at 1.5 hours, is also definitely worth a trip. The trullo and the grounds itself are absolutely gorgeous. The trullo is very tastefully decorated with little personal touches, It has a cute little kitchen and the bathroom is really lovely too with a nice shower. The bedroom is very pretty with a comfy bed. There are lots of sockets, good lighting, a safe, and fairly reliable wifi. Outside there are lots of places to sit down and find shade or sun, eat, drink, read etc. There's an outdoor shower, and the best of all - lots of hammocks! At night it's very peaceful to sit outside and listen to the crickets... The hosts were very friendly and lovely people - they gave recommendations on where to eat in the area and were very helpful. We love this place so much, we kind of want to keep it to ourselves and stay forever! We will definitely be back!

I wish I lived here!
If you think this place sounds amazing, you're wrong; it's better than that! The setting is idyllic and it's close to all of the best things in Puglia without the hassle of loud noises and fighting for parking. Before I came, I was a little concerned about security because I've never done a homeaway-type property outside of a city center plus the rental car company scared me pretty bad about not getting the extra insurance and having the car stolen, but between the heavy doors, alarm system, and front gate, I really had nothing to worry about. Not that the area seems dangerous at all, by the way. I spent several happy days hanging out at the property writing and relaxing without a care in the world as well as several more tooling around the region knowing that my precious things were secure. As for Francesca, she was extremely helpful and very welcoming. Although she lives in a town a little ways off, she introduced me to her friend who lives very close and who was available to help in a pinch (although I never needed him to come out). If you're considering staying here, you definitely should. I wish I could stay forever!

Perfect Trullo
We stayed at the Trullo for about 2 weeks and had an amazing time. It is a really nice quiet place with a great view. The apartment was clean an well equiped. The owners are really nice and helpful.
