Pretty apartment in the Bergisches Land on the edge of the landscape conservation area

Our apartment is located in a small village near Marialinden. It is located on the 1st Upper floor and loft of a detached house with separate own entrance It has a beautiful kitchen with a fitted kitchen with induction hob and complete equipment. Adjacent is the large and spacious living room with a fireplace and a nice large couch.

The bedroom has a large 2m x 2m double bed and a spacious wardrobe.

The bathroom was recently completely modernized and has a bath / shower / BD and a sink with a large mirror.

2 more beds are in the loft which can be reached from the living room via a spiral staircase. Here the headroom is restricted by the pointed floor.

The apartment has a beautiful covered balcony for breakfast in the morning and its own terrace in the garden.

We have a wallbox for electric vehicles on the property and tenants are welcome to charge their vehicles with us. Our wallbox has a type 2 plug.

A supermarket is located in Marialinden where a bakery is open on weekends. Here you will also find restaurants and inns. The nearest train station with connections to Cologne and buses to Siegburg and Bonn is approx. 6 km away. It is about 5km to the A4 motorway towards Cologne. In about 30 minutes you are in Cologne.

The nature reserve Schlingenbachtal is within walking distance and many beautiful hiking opportunities. In Lindlar approx. 10 km away there is a very interesting open-air museum about rural life in the Bergisch region.

A very nice apartment in a small village 25 km from Cologne. Clean, cozy, with a well-equipped kitchen, a large bathroom, and a king-size bed in the bedroom. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and quiet.

We waren met twee volwassen kinderen van 18 en 20 jr. Het appartement is heerlijk, heel ruim en er is alles wat je nodig hebt. Goede keuken, badkamer, fijne bedden nieuwe, grote bank en geweldig uitzicht! 2e slaapkamer prima!Op heen- en terugweg stop in Duisburg voor Landschaftspark en de Tiger & Turtle trappen, aanraders! Kerstmarkten Keulen en Bonn bezocht. Keulen druk in de kerstvakantie, leuk natuurlijk. Bonn rustiger en heel gezellig! Gastheer Marc Rhein is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Keulen met de trein 35 min van Overath, ieder half uur. DB account aanmaken en online kaartje kopen, zijn ook groepskaartjes voor 5 pers 27 24 u geldig, dus heen- een terug. Heerlijke dagen gehad!

Quiet, peaceful retreat with beautiful nature.

Very nice rural setting with grocery store conveniently located nearby. Hosts were easy to communicate with and apartments had what one needed. If you are tall the loft room could be tricky, but short mom stayed in this duo so it worked. Lots of local information literature to utilize if one wishes. We stayed during a rainy spell but cannot predict mother nature.

We had a fantastic holiday at this lovely accommodation. We had everything we need and the property was nice and clean. It was very handy for any shops we needed. In the immediate vicinity it was very quiet and peaceful and very handy for walks, cycle rides and hiking direct from the house. Visiting Cologne and Bonn was very easy and they are great places to visit. The hosts were very friendly and easy to contact if needed. Would really recommend this to anyone interested in a relaxing holiday whether it’s couples or families as suits everyone. Thank you for a great holiday.

Wonderful Stay

This apartment was the perfect 'home base' for us on our trip to Germany. It had all of the amenities we needed and the location and views were very picturesque. Marc was incredibly helpful and quick to respond throughout the process. During check-in, he walked us through the apartment and made sure we had everything we needed. The stay was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting western Germany.

A wonderful, peaceful, relaxing break away from the hub-bub

It was a very spacious, very well equipped apartment on the edge of a lovely and quiet village setting. The pace of life is slower and the countryside so peaceful. Though the family are next-door and underneath, they were not at all intrusive and were very mindful of their guests. To be able to sit out on the balcony for breakfast or supper was simply marvellous. 30 mins to Koln or to Bonn or indeed nearby villages for food (Much or Lindlar - to eat good local fayre) was amazing

Over the top perfect

It was an upstairs accommodations, so not handicapped accessible, but if that is not an issue, the place was just perfect. Not too far out of town to make it convenient to go into Cologne, but yet far enough to be peaceful and relaxing. The dwelling was modern and very up to date, and our hosts were delightful. All in all it was a magnificent for our last stop in Germany. Cheers

Das war einer der schönsten Aufenthalte der letzten Jahre. Da hat einfach alles gepasst. Total nette Gastgeber/-familie. Die Wohnung war toll eingerichtet, super Küche mit Induktion. Alle Zimmer so geräumig, dass man nicht das Gefühl gehabt hätte sich um die Ecken zu drücken.Die Aussicht in alle Himmelsrichtungen fantastisch weil die Wohnung im OG ist.Schön. Ich kann das nur empfehlen.Ich war zu einer Fortbildung und meine Frau ist die ganze Woche gewandert. Es nen Abend nach Köln gefahren, war auch im Grunde um die Ecke.Fahrt da mal hin und macht schön Urlaub.

Die Wohnung ist für 4 Personen mehr als ausreichend. Allerdings sind 2 Betten direkt unterm Dach. Es führt eine sehr schmale Wendeltreppe dorthin. Für Jugendliche geeignet. Kleinere Kinder oder Erwachsene sollten dort eher nicht schlafen.Der Eingang zur Wohnung liegt im ersten Stock und ist über eine Außentreppe zu erreichen. Die Einrichtung, insbesondere die Couch im Wohnzimmer, sollte einmal erneuert werden. Die Couch ist total fleckig. Leider

Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und der Check-In /Check out, sehr komfortabel.Leider ist das Mobiliar der Ferienwohnung doch schon sehr abgenutzt (Wohnzimmercouch/Schlafzimmerschrank) und an den Wänden und Leisten auch Schäden, die einer Reparatur bedürfen.Das Schlafzimmer ist für 2 Erwachsene ausreichend.Das Dachgeschoss, das nur über eine sehr enge Wendeltreppe erreichbar für die Unterbringung der weiteren Gäste angeboten wurde, ist für Erwachsene absolut nicht geeignet und unsere 20 jährige Tochter musste in den Bettenbereich kriechen um dorthin zu gelanden.Der Parkbereich an der Seite am Grundstück ist nicht optimal, da das Fahrzeug seitlich einen Teil in die doch von Landmaschinen stärker befahrenen Strasse ragt.

Sehr schöne und große Ferienwohnung mit herrlicher Aussicht

Wir haben zu Ostern Verwandte in der Nähe besucht und waren eigentlich nur zum Schlafen in der Wohnung. Aber dennoch haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten uns sehr gut vor und nach den Besuchen entspannen. Die Aussicht ist fantastisch!
