There was a hockey team, they were super loud, running in hallways, yelling, slamming doors way into the night. I wish it was kept more under control.

Be warned, this place has lots of kids. They’re loud in the halls but that isn’t the fault of the staff, it’s the parents of those kids. Overall this place has good rates and will do for a night or two. Breakfast wasn’t free but the vouchers brought the cost down.

I want to commend the staff!! We were visiting the Lake Huron shore for the fist time, and they were collectively enthusiastic and very well informed about the activities, the places to visit, the many opportunities in the hotel (generous coupons for meals, pool, hot tubs) where to find a microwave (next to the reception area) and so on. Stayed here a couple of times a few years ago, this time I was surprised at how many dogs there were. That was a turn off cleanliness wise-they said they try to keep all dogs on the second floor, we stayed on the 4th and there was at least one dog there. Just be mindful of this policy when booking, the other Blue Mountain properties do not allow pets, so if you’re someone who does not necessarily want to be living amongst animals then I’d suggest you book elsewhere. I’m not blaming the hotel as it’s my fault for not knowing the policy, so just informing others that may miss this in their fine print.
