Experience the city from this fantastic one bedroom apartment, that can sleep four, situated in central Oxford yet surrounded by tranquility looking over the River Thames. Upon your doorstep you will find the new Westgate Shopping Centre and the Oxford Castle along with an abundance of shops, restaurants, bars and activities. The property is within easy walking distance to the many Oxford University Colleges and language schools, it is perfect for those working, studying or visiting Oxford.

On the doorstep over looking the Thames this apartment is simply stunning and is kitted out with everything you need for your stay in Oxford. When you enter you enter through the hallway, you can find the kitchen to your right and further down on your right is the bathroom. As you carry on through the apartment you will find the open plan area ahead of you accompanied by a lounge and dining area. The bathroom has both a shower and bath which has recently been renovated. The bedroom has a double size bed and built in wardrobes providing ample space for storage. There is also a pull out double sofa bed located in the lounge.

The property can sleep up to 4 guests as there is a double bed in the main bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge, please note that there is not a door between living spaces. The bedroom is connected to the living area via a small arch however is a completely separate room and there is enough room for each guest to have their own privacy.

If needing use of the sofa bed please let us know at the time of your booking and please note that there is an additional charge of £25 if the sofa bed is required, thank you.

The apartment does not have parking but as it is in the city there are many car parks close by, including: Worcester Street Car Park, Westgate Car Park, Oxpens Car Park. Alternatively, Oxford offers many Park & Rides for. The closest and most convenient for the apartment is Seacourt Park & Ride as the bus service drops you off very close to the apartment.
The apartment is just a short walk from the railway station and also the central bus station located in Gloucester Green.

We are on hand throughout guests stay and provide an emergency out of hour's telephone number for your peace of mind. We like to give our guests space to enjoy their stay, but we are on hand and available when needed.

Bookings over 10 days will receive a complimentary weekly linen change carried out by our housekeeping team, I will inform you of the scheduled day that this will take place. An additional housekeeping service can be arranged upon request (charged additionally)

Nice location, fully functional, definitely tight if you want to use the sofabed, my teen just slept on the couch closed up. Patio was really nice. No room to sit at the table in the living room. Not much space to move around the bed either- a large person might not even fit between the bed and the wall cupboards. Enjoyed our stay and would come again, but it’s better suited for 2 people than 3.

Great position in Oxford. Lovely terrace overlooking the water. Well presented and very comfortable apartment. The host was very helpful. I recommend this apartment.

Flat was perfect! Great location, easy walk to everything Oxford and to train & bus. Just as advertised, clean, and comfortable for 2 friends (1 using sofa bed that was also comfortable). Would stay again. Thanks.

Lovely little flat

This flat is small but had everything we needed. Good little kitchen and a comfortable bed. Didn't try the pullout bed. Things might be a bit tight for 4 people. Location is excellent with shops and sights all nearby. We are a couple of octogenarians so arriving with suitcases we were a bit shocked to find three flights of stairs to cart our stuff up to the flat. This wouldn't be an issue for younger folks. What might be for some was poor tv reception with lots of pixelation on some channels. Still, a nice flat.

Not the greatest experience

The apartment itself was pretty much a advertised, clean, nice patio. It had all the necessities in the kitchen. Checking in was a bit of a chore, finding first the locked access to the lock box, but not too bad. The apartment is up 4 flights of stairs, not easy with luggage. Our real complaint was the freezing nighttime temperatures were just coming and the heating was marginal at best. There were space heaters in the living room and bedroom, but one was broken. One had to lug the functioning one back and forth. When the hosts were apprised of the situation they were totally unresponsive.

Great Location

The flat was perfect for us. Great location and walk to everything including shops, pubs, cafes and history. As the listing mentions there are 42 steps to climb. Not a problem if young (er) and with a light case. The lockbox was obscured by overgrown shrubs and we spent ages walking around trying to find it. Needs a good trimming as would be impossible to the box locate in the dark. We did not receive the check-in details from VRBO in the time stated and had to contact the owner to provide them. Response times were not great. Flat was very clean, outdoor area is fabulous for evening drinks but needs a refresh as plants in pot are dead and handrail has wood rot. The bed was very comfortable but as with most brass beds it creaked a lot. The outdoor area adjoins a neighbouring property divided by a low fence. It wasn’t great when the neighbours sat outside smoking. Overall though, it is central and value for money. VRBO/Stayz need to improve their systems and communication.

The location of this property is perfect if you’re arriving by train, and it’s an easy walk to shopping or eating. It’s also close to a bus stop on Park End St. The only inconvenience is the extra walk past the unit to pick up the keys from a lock box, then a few minute walk back to the apartment. It’s situated off a Main Street on a footpath next to the river, and well away from traffic or other noise. As another reviewer mentioned, it’s on the 4th level, so there are lots of stairs to haul your luggage up. Overall, it’s clean and well maintained. The toilet seat was broken when we got there, but wasn’t an inconvenience. It had all the amenities listed in the listing, and the internet works well. We enjoyed our stay.
