Unique Hotel
The former prison has been repurposed in a careful refit, retaining many of the original features. The venue is very clean and the staff were very good. Breakfast was of good quality too. We chose to park and ride, as parking is limited and relatively expensive.

Location and building was great. Ideal location for walking to sights. Unique experience. Dinner menu limited.very high steak supplement. Service charge on cocktails. More description on dessert ingredients required. Breakfast muffins were hard. Room was cold on arrival and plumbing a little erratic. Also a constant plant room humming in the room all night.

Excellent staff
The staff in all departments are very friendly and welcoming, can’t fault it at all. Went for the breakfast included option which was outstanding and again the serving staff was all very friendly and helpful. The only reason it gets four stars from me is because I had to change room on the first night. They checked me into a room below where a function was being held. The staff member dealt with the situation and changed my room, overall this could have been avoided if I was not given the room in the first place knowing a function was being held there.
