The front desk clerk did not speak English. Room was only partial view. King bed was made with queen sheets. We were given 3 towels for 2 people for 3 days and 1 roll toilet paper, left on the bed. Furniture old, couch sunk down to bed underneath with a big squeak. Very unwelcoming.

The views of the room on the first floor were amazing, getting there was another story. Disabled people beware it is several flights of stairs with luggage if you have it. The room was decently sized but there was sand all over the floor so I’m assuming it wasn’t the cleanest.

The room had a half empty water bottle on the stan between the bed's along with some kind of crumbs. The floor had not been sweep and the tub was dirty with dead bugs . We told the front office. They sent someone back to clean. He had a dry cloth, no disinfectant , he wiped it in the floor, then sweep, if you can call it sweeping. My grandchild sweeps better than what i saw. Thank goodness i had disinfectant wipes with me.

You get what you pay for. Not the Ritz but an amazing deal in the winter for a beachfront room. No frills . Great if on a budget just keep your expectations at bay .

The stay total according to Expedia receipt was to be $287.09. Expedia charged the credit card $212.19 On the same day the hotel Chateau Beachfront charged the credit card $329.75 One would expect the security deposit to be charged to the credit card but be reflected as a pending charge until check out (like the major hotel chains do business Hilton and Marriott do). Calls have been made to the hotel to question this amount they have charged on top of the charge from Expedia. The hotel stated the charge is for a security deposit and was to be refunded after check out. It has been Also be aware, the resort fee that is quoted by Expedia is less than what the hotel will charge your credit card. Expedia states the resort fee and fees payable at the hotel is to be $74.90, the hotel charged to the credit card $79.75. In total for this stay the credit card has been charged $616.84

Excellent beach front view and access! Every room has a beach view balcony t or porch with 2 chairs. Nice pool area with plenty of seating and loungers. I’ve machines on every floor and they worked (issues elsewhere). Plenty of clean towels and comfortable bedding. Several restaurants nearby and within walking distance. This IS a budget, no frills hotel so keep that in mind. If you’re not seeking luxury and need a clean place to sleep, this is great!

Though old yet satisfactory services by Chateau. Affordable, basic amenities provided, beachfront, showers, pool, playground, all was good.could not have asked for more , wanted beachfront, got it. Enjoyed our stay totally.

Best beach access in PCB! What we love… the fun retro vibe of the hotel, the walkout rooms are absolutely hands down the best thing ever. Open your door and the beach is right there. The heated pool is also spectacular on sunny days. John in reception and the Colombian lady, sorry we forgot your name are the nicest people ever. What we’re not fans of…. The smoking area if you're a smoker just be aware the only designated smoking area is at a ratty table next to the dumpster. Eau de garbage juice anyone? Yuck! The sand wash station was right outside our bedroom door so it was constantly wet and sand trekked back into the room no matter what we did. Thank goodness not our first trip and Im OCD and brought a broom with us. Housekeeping in general is pretty awesome but the supplies in each room are inconsistent. We spent two days nagging housekeeping to bring us some soap. We stayed for 4 days and had two rooms and noticed little things like no ice bucket in our room, but in the other room they had one. Also in rooms with kitchens there is zero hanging space… which can be interesting. All this said the Chateau is still the best place to stay on a budget, its family friendly and makes for the perfect home base in PCB. We’d stay here everytime over all the condos available. 10/10! The bathroom was filthy and the mattress covers were extremely stained. It was late Christmas night when we got there and couldn’t get another room so I threw some cover I had on top so I could sleep. I have pictures. I did report it when checking out.

First of all the staff was very friendly, accommodating, and always had a kind greeting. One lady working the front desk (with blond and dark hair drooping over her eyes) was the exception. She was stern and unapproachable. Given this is a beachfront hotel and appears to be a bit on the older side, it was an excellent place for the price involved. Very affordable and great beach access. Although they state they aren't handicap accessible, I probably didn't read the details appropriately. The beach access room I booked was actually two floors down from the parking lot, and no elevator. There was also no indoor latch or chain on the door. I would have felt a bit safer had one been present. Not that I felt unsafe, one just never can be too careful. I would stay here again, despite those things mentioned above. For the price, there are trade-offs. And the friendliness of the staff was superb.
