Our first beach trip during spring break, normally we go in the fall but other than the hotel itself we fully enjoyed the beach and beautiful water. My daughter loved swimming and collecting seashells. My son wasn't a huge fan of the sand at first.
I've never had a bad experience at a resort that I could recall, but the check in process was unreal for me. The lady at the desk was very unpleasant and did not seem to want to help us. We arrived a few mins before 4pm and to start there was a line of people out the door. My husband and friends husband stood in line till a little after 5 and was told rooms weren't ready. She said maybe 30mins to hour. Alright so we go get a few things we need at Wally world (walmart). Then continue to say only one room was ready but would upgrade us to a bigger room for all of us. However, as it turned out there were no more rooms ready or available. Here we have 5 kids and 2 of them are under 3, tired of sitting in the car. We finally got it sorted somewhat close to 8 that night I guess to the best we could at that point. We decided to just come back in the morning to talk with the general manager. The room wasn't too terrible I mean could be worse. I misunderstood the website, I thought it had been renovated but I feel like it was in the middle of it maybe, I don't know. But we were on the beach and kept us stock on towels when we needed them. My husband went back the next day and got to speak to the GM and he was really nice and helped a lot.
