Let's face it, not every day is a beach day. To add to that, sometimes people just want their own space instead of spending the entirety of a week cramped together. With that thought in mind, this home resembles a private resort. There is so much room to spread out. As you walk into the front door you'll see a large open area perfect for entertaining. The living area features a massive 86-inch TV with LED mood lighting depending on the movie. The kitchen has premium Cambria countertops with stainless steel appliances. You can skip the bottled water with the filtered faucet and refrigerator door. Enjoy a cappuccino or coffee in the coffee system. Off of the kitchen is an eclectic screened-in covered patio overlooking the pool. The topmost level features two huge master bedrooms with private bathrooms. Both Masters walk out to a shared porch with Ocean Views. The top porch is covered and perfect to enjoy at night or in the morning in any weather. Couples can come together with beautiful views of the ocean enjoying their favorite beverage. A newly constructed game room features dual TVs, a pool table, a convertible ping pong table, a separate kitchenette, Xbox, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, a stand up arcade machine with old school games, and the classic board games perfect for a group. The pool table also converts to a sitting table with benches. This room features a cool retro theme blending multiple generations. There are also two sleep-able futons located here. The backyard of this property has so much room. The private pool is very picturesque with multiple palm trees and beautiful evening lighting. Did I mention all of this is within a one-block walk to the beach with public beach access? This property is sure to have you coming back year after year with fond memories. Incredibly easy check in. Any issues we had were resolved very quickly. Kevin and his brother were always very accessible and ready to answer any questions we had. My group had a great time and I would definitely rent from Kevin again.

This is a beautiful property that is mismanaged. The pictures do not match property. Examples: pictures show a beautiful stainless grill in the bar area… I took the cover off when I got there and there was an “out of order” printed out label on it. The main floor and lower level rooms all have portable air conditioning units stuck in the corners (central air was not working for these floors) only the two bedrooms on the top floor had central air. The bottom level smelled of musty dampness due to the lack of air flow.Check in was great with the exception of the pool guy (owners brother) still being there for an hour after we arrived. Thankfully he did explain how to get the power back on if all the portable air conditioning units turned on at the same time it would throw a breaker in a box hidden behind a picture in the main floor hallway. Our first experience with the pool… the lights in the pool did not work. We weren’t comfortable swimming in the evening with little one in the pool area.Our first experience with the kitchen… it was not clean. Surfaces were all tacky/sticky so we did a complete clean before we started our evening meal. Next morning for coffee time (capacity for this home is 20) there were 8 coffee mugs for 12 adults in our party. I could go on and on but I’m just going to end with this. The host was quick to respond to any concerns I reached out about… but is shouldn’t take 24-48hrs of communication for things that should have been managed properly.

We enjoyed a 5 night stay at this very convenient-to-the-beach house. It has 7 actual bedrooms. It has some good features, including the pool, the hot tub, and the game room. There were several things that needed attention such as the grills which were not in good enough shape to use, the blinds which didn't work in many windows. It appears to be a fairly good option for a beach house, but one that needs some TLC to make it a truly exceptional experience.

We had an unforgettable family vacation in this spacious home, which comfortably accommodated all 17 of us. The proximity to the beach was a huge plus, and everyone enjoyed their time together. While there were a few minor issues, I’ve already discussed these with the owner. Overall, our experience was delightful, and I would definitely choose to stay here again!

The kids loved the pool and game room. It kept them occupied for hours at a time. Very short walk to the beach. The beach was not busy; it was quiet and family oriented. The house was very spacious. I wish it had been cleaner. The drawers in the kitchen and bathrooms had not been wiped out for a while. I found clothing belonging to a previous guest in my bedroom drawers. The closest had a musty smell to them. Overall, we enjoyed our trip

Shangri-la was OOH-LALA!

We had a wonderful family vacation at Shangri-la! Our group consisted of myself (the Nana) my five adult children, two daughter-in-laws, one son-in-law, and seven grandchildren, ranging in ages from 10 months to thirteen. First of all, the back yard is a phenomenal space. The pool, hot tub, cabana, outdoor bar and grill/with TV….well, we hung out there A LOT! Seriously, hours and hours of fun were had by all. The screened in porch was a great space too. We put two puzzles together on the table out there. The open living room, kitchen and dining room provided the perfect space for us to all gather together for meals, games, watching movies, etc. (the TV in the living room is HUGE!!) Everyone had their own room, and each room had a pretty big TV in it as well, so when being in the big group got a little too much, we could retreat to our own private space The garage of the house has been made into a game room that my five older grandkids really enjoyed. This room has a pool table, lots of games, dual tv’s and double futons to sleep on, with a smaller room connected to it that has a bunk bed in it, so plenty of room for them. They loved it. Not once did any of them say, “we’re bored!”. The walk to the beach is not bad at all either, and there was a wagon full of beach stuff for us to use. We had such a GREAT time and made some beautiful memories.

Perfect Holiday

Beautiful house a block and a half from the beach. Perfect for our family gathering. Clean. Spacious. Gorgeous decks and yard. It was December so we didn't take full advantage of the wonderful patio and pool area. Loved the hot tub. The game room was a huge hit with the grown cousins. The location was perfect and we were able to easily get to all of the local attractions and restaurants. It was well equipped for taking advantage of the beach. The kitchen had all of the pans, cooking utensils and appliances we needed. The host provided clear instructions and communication was great. Only downside was it was challenging to park 4 cars and the downstairs sofa bed had seen better days. All in all we enjoyed our stay and will use this house again if the timing and availability work out.

This is a 7 bedroom, not 9 bedroom house.

We were under the impression that this is a 9 bedroom house. It is in fact a 7 bedroom. The living room couch and basement futon do not define as a bedroom. We stayed here with 6 families. It wasn't fair for the kids to sleep in common areas when we had planned for everyone to have a room. Besides that, Everyone had a great time. Rained 3 days out of the week. We entertained ourselves with pool, hot tub, games, TV and billiard. Everything went great except for the misadvertisement about the number of bedrooms.

Adult Weekend

The home was wonderful for our group of adults. The multiple king sized beds were really nice. Beds were comfortable, house was spacious and it was nice to have a large tv for football. We enjoyed the amenities and location. There were stand alone ac units on top of the central air unit that need to be turned on and monitored. We were never uncomfortable so they worked well. Great place. Thanks

Beautiful Oasis!

We loved staying at the Shangri-la! The house was a short block from the beach, perfect for all the beach bums in the family. We had 14 people with us, and everyone had their own comfortable space. The pool and game room were awesome, no one ever got bored! The home is beautiful. We would definitely come back!

Great location and entertainment space for all!

The house is was super nice and the closeness to the beach was fantastic! The house offered great beach chairs, wagons, pool toys, etc., saved us from packing them or having to go out and buy more. We had a wide range of ages staying at the house from toddler to grandparents, there was something for everyone! The owner was super responsive and helpful.

Everything we could have asked for!

This house was everything we could have asked for plus more. It was absolutely awesome! We LOVED this stay and hope to come back! Everything was very clean and well maintained. Very close walk to the beach, and nice neighborhood. It was close enough to be able to run into "town" yet far enough away to be peaceful. The property owner Kevin, was very easy to contact and very courteous! The trip honestly couldn't have been any better. Thank you for an awesome stay!

We had a great time. The house is located a short walk from the beach and the pool area is awesome! Kevin is very good to work with as he texted back whenever I had a question for him. There was more than enough room for my entire family. Only complaint would be that the gaming system is missing a cord and you couldn't play it, otherwise one great family vacation!! Thank you!
