Papenburg is Germany’s oldest and longest “Fehn” colony.
Canals define the cityscape in Papenburg at both the upper and lower ends and have long served as the main axes of development. The network of canals stretches from the harbour on the Ems (Untenende) to the Coastal Canal in the southeast (Obenende) and has a total length of approximately 40 km and a lengthwise extent of approximately 14 km.
Your holiday home is located in a quiet residential area in the Obenende district. The HÖB educational facility and a playground are both nearby.
From your terrace, you can enjoy the sunset with a view of the lake. A rowing boat is available for free use. In the immediate vicinity, you can go on long hikes in nature. Canoeing, boating, and stand-up paddleboarding are permitted on the lake.
