Very poor communication

Communication was poor. We were flying in from the US. Spent 27 hours to get to the apartment and still had no door code to get in. Standing in the street in the rain finally got hold of owner who said they had to move us to another apartment 10 miles east of Paris. We had no rental car, were tired and getting wet. Had VRBO cancel the reservation and found a motel room for the week.
