You pay for the location and convenience, we felt the rooms and furniture were dated. It’s meant to have an “old time boutique” French style but it just seems worn. We disliked the manual door keys that we had to return to the front desk and then pick back up every time we wanted to leave the property. They were also hard to open the door, electronic locks should be a standard. The ac in our unit was broken and they promptly moved us to another room, which we appreciated. But it was only because someone had cancelled. If they had been at max capacity we would have had to sleep with no ac.

The hotel is very charming and centrally located. The stuff is friendly and speaks English. Breakfast was decent. There is the exchange right next to the hotel and the exchange rate was the best in the area. On the corner there is a very nice restaurant with the seating inside and outside. Would definitely stay again

My wife and I did not get to stay at the hotel. We were to cycle through the Bordeaux region before returning to Paris. My wife fell prior to our departure and fractured her knee cap. The Mayfair demonstrated uncommon compassion in canceling our reservation and refunding our stay. I have no doubt that the Mayfair treats guests with generosity and care and we will stay at Mayfair on our next visit to Paris. So should you.

Great Hotel

Hotel Mayfair was fabulous. Staff at reception were welcoming and friendly. Rony was very helpful with our bags to our room. Room was clean and tidy with air conditioning which was very much needed as it was 35 degrees in Paris. Beds were comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. In the evening we ventured to the bar for a drink and some food which came from the restaurant next door. All lovely and needed after a few hours walking around Paris. I'll happily stay at this hotel if I'm ever in Paris in the future.

This hotel has a good location. One can easily walk to the Louvre. I walked to Notre Dame in the morning, and to the Bateaux Mouche boat dock in the afternoon. The hotel is conveniently located very near the No. 1 Metro line. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning kept it pleasantly cool.

The staff is so friendly & personable. Reka is so friendly! I really appreciate her! The front desk staff & Rony , bellman are very friendly & helpful. What could be improved- Could you put a 24 hour automatic coffee machine in the lobby? That would be quite helpful . Also, bottles of water that we could pour water into glasses in the lobby.

The location is fantastic! Close to attractions & transit. Staff is VERY friendly & helpful. Over all, I’d stay again. The only negative I’d be remiss by not mentioning, is that in what seems to be typical of Europe, the air conditioning doesn’t work. A fan running without a compressor is NOT air conditioning. Seems like the AC works only when new, then never again. But the location!

We stayed here for 5 nights. The rooms are beautiful and the location was perfect. Walkable to everywhere we wanted to go. Most importantly, the staff were really kind and helpful. The hotel was safe. For a few days I had forgotten I had a few hundred dollars in my bag and the cleaners came to our room multiple times and the cash was never touched.
