Good value hotel opposite Gard du Nord. Single room very small especially the bathroom but ok for one night. Good shower and nice to have real soap. Minimal street noise even on a Saturday night but morning street cleaning was loud. Breakfast not too good but many cafes

Perfect location after a late night arrival, close to the station. That said, there are some unsavoury characters near the station at night! Very loud and no air con so had to open windows, thus making it louder. Door didn't lock on close, only when I was in. Hotel is dated but was cheap and its Paris so no issues

My family and I (wife, son, and I) booked Hotel Picardy because of its location and closeness to Gare du Nord. The hotel has no AC and no fan. When we checked in at 10 pm, the temperature inside the building was already very high while we waited through the check-in process. We finally got our keys, went up to the fifth floor, and the room was extremely hot. We had to sleep with all the windows open, and between the noise from outside, the light coming in, and the heat, it was unbearable — we couldn’t sleep at all. We ended up changing hotels and leaving early, without a reimbursement, since we knew that was the hotel’s policy. Please don’t stay here during summer, and be aware of any heat waves or orange alerts before booking.

If you are looking for a bed that is close to the train station then this place is perfect. It was steps away from Gare du Nord, easy to find, and affordable. Those are the only good things I can report. First I e-mailed them weeks ahead to find out if I could store bags before the check in time. I never heard back. Then when we checked in our room hadn't been cleaned at all. Sheets were dirty and towels were on the floor. I explained at the front desk and I heard them ask an employee if she had cleaned that room yet and (since I speak French) I heard her say that she hadn't gotten to that room yet. The room was small and the sheets were not comfortable. But we were in Paris and had so much to do that the hotel room wasn't important at all. Thus I repeat, If you are looking for a bed that is close to the train station then this place is perfect.

Hotel right across the road from the railway station so ideal for a one night stay before or after your train. Staff helpful and was given a large room with comfortable twin beds. Room and bathroom was clean apart from black hairs on the sofa, possibly dog hairs. Plenty of bars and restaurants round the hotel.

I enjoyed my week’s stay at this hotel. It is conveniently situated opposite the Gare du Nord, which makes it easy to get to from Charles de Gaulle airport using the RER, and so there is ready access to both the RER and the Métro for visiting other parts of Paris. Shops, bars, restaurants etc. in the area are plentiful. My room was clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed the breakfasts. The hotel staff were polite and friendly.

This is one of the better relatively inexpensive hotels near a capital city's mainline railway stations literally opposite Gare du Nord and a few minutes walk to Gare de l'Est In spite of being in a busy area, you can still get a good night's sleep

Perfect location for hopping an early morning Eurostar train at Gare du Nord. Rooms are very spartan so don’t expect much. No mini fridge, old towels, shower head that won’t remain in place.

Basic hotel right opposite Gare du Nord. Despite the poor reviews we found our room to be adequate with clean sheets, a comfortable bed and a warm shower. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Fine for a short stay.
