Decent hotel for a reasonable price

Pros: There were a number of restaurants around and it is a short walk from the Moulin Rouge. A good location for people wanting the nightlife.
Cons: Having to hand the key into reception each time we left was tedious and a little annoying.
Location: There is a metro station nearby, the Moulin Rouge a short walk away, and it is in what felt like a reasonably safe location.
The hotel was decent. Although it was a little further away from the places we wanted to visit, it was close to a metro station and within walking distance of the Gare Du Nord train station for the Eurostar. Despite the disclaimer on the wotif site stating: "A tax is imposed by the city: EUR 0.99 per person, per night. This tax does not apply to children under 18 years of age." I was charged the city tax for my 11 year old daughter, even after checking with them. Also, the confirmation stated all charges would be levied at the end of the stay, however I was required to pay before I could check-in. The shower was small and a little difficult to negotiate, but the room was clean--if a little dated--and our stay was pleasant enough.
