Terrific Location. Very Comfortable Apartment.
We booked 10 days with Agnes in July (2022) for our 6 travellers. Agnes was pleasant and accommodating to our arrival, despite being delayed a day by our airline & chaotic airports.
Here are the 'Pros':
- Location was wonderful. You are a short walk from two Metro stations and multiple bus lines. You can take two trains and get there from CDG airport. Getting to the attractions was easy. There was a mini supermarket steps from the front door with many restaurants (even a McDonald's) nearby. You aren't staying in trendy Quartier Latin or Marais but the Metro gets you there in minutes.
- The apartment itself was lovely and spacious. It is a family home and not used solely as a vacation rental. The apartment itself was nicer than the listing photos.
- The 3 bedrooms were comfortable. There weren't AC but we were not hit with the big heatwave in July but still slept with the windows opened as it got quite warm in there.
- The kitchen was well stocked and handy for breakfasts, lunches, and the occasional dinners. (She left us some fruits!)
- There was a shower/sink in the washer/dryer room and a separate tub/sink in another room which were handy, after a long day.
- The little balcony overlooking the courtyard was lovely with two chairs and a table. Sitting there with a book, enjoying a beverage; you couldn't feel more 'Parisian'.
Some 'watch-outs':
- There was only one toilet in the unit at the end of the hall. There wasn't a sink in there so that was challenging with 6 people staying. One has to use the toilet, 'hygienically' open the door and go down the hall to wash up after using the toilet. We put some hand sanitizer in the toilet room and got along fine. If your group get up at the same time, the one toilet would need some coordination.
- The listing listed 3 bedrooms but the photos showed a 4th room that was locked up, which was fine with us. This was their home so some cupboards and closet areas were locked.
- Not charged a cleaning fee in the listing, the manual left for us asked us to clean the unit to how we found it (included a cleaner's #) and to replenish items used. We replaced soap dispensers, toilet paper, etc. We are a tidy family so cleaning was easy but some may not want to be scrubbing while on holidays.
- The last thing was Agnes wanting to take inventory and check the unit before we left. It was nice to see her before leaving but was a first for us.
Overall: enjoyed the lovely unit! Thank you Agnes!
